Chapter 50: Helemoira

I felt as if I were floating on an endless sea, my body adrift on the tide. Though, when I reached below me, I felt nothingness.

Nothingness.

My body twisted as I tried to look around me, but there was nothing as far as I could see. It was a vast sea of emptiness and the sensation was disorientating.

"Ah, you're awake," a chilling voice finally answered. "So good of you to join us."

"Us?" I asked but the answer I received was the haunting feeling of so many hands snaking their way about my body. I tried to recoil from them, to get away, but they followed me. I felt them grab at my clothing and hair, pulling me in every direction.
