Anindira collapses

Hans left Halvir and Anindira, who were still deep in emotion. He went downstairs to meet Gavriel. Below, Hans checked on Gavriel's condition.

''You're lucky,'' said Axel while gently patting Gavriel's head, ''Your head is still firmly in position…'' Axel continued, grinning.

''Hmh...'' answered Gavriel briefly with a bitter smile pinned on his lips, he leaned his body against the tree, and raised his head, a drop of tear hung at the corner of his eye.

Gavriel realized Halvir was holding back. From the start, it was just a warning from Halvir to him. From the start, Halvir had never intended to kill him, he knew that very clearly.
