A day in the airport

"So… There's like another soul in me, huh…" Mark was intrigued, because not only was he bored, but a conversation with such a subject was a great way for him to not fall asleep.

"Yes." Alissa gave his words of realization and acceptance a big smile, right after she had given him a simple answer to help him reconfirm the new reality of his.

"I see… Then, this soul is very important to you, which means that you'll do anything in your power to prevent me from dying, right?" Mark was genuinely asking a question, this time…

"Uhu… Where is this going?" Alissa didn't hesitate to ask immediately after awkwardly answer his question.

Although it might have been a genuine question, it was quite a concerning one. Alissa couldn't tell what Mark was intending with such words of his, and felt completely uncomfortable because of that. To do anything means to do anything, after all…

"I know we still have a lot to talk about, and I know that I'm supposed to wait for Artemis, but, I'm just too tired to do all that. After passing out from the heat, this woman came to kill me and my friend but failed. I escaped, but then got found by her. She bit me, which turned me into some kind of blood hungry beast that slaughtered every-"

"Stop Stop Stop. Hold up, wait a minute. You don't need to tell me everything. I've already got a lot to deal with in the spiritual world, if you know what that is. Just tell me in short what you want. No need for so many words. You're both confusing me and scaring me." Alissa was quick to stop Mark from telling her everything that she had witnessed herself. Of course, obviously, she did make sure to prevent herself from telling him that she had witnessed everything herself.

"Ahh… Sorry. I just want to sleep."

Such was the final conclusion and the point that Mark was trying to make…

Mark just had to have the idea of telling Alissa his life story, when all he wanted to do is ask her to watch him while he sleeps. To Alissa it seemed like a joke… She wasn't mad, of course, and assumed that the reason for Mark to tell her everything before asking her to watch him while he's sleeping, is only because she's basically a stranger who does not know Mark himself. With her not knowing mark too well, it is quite reasonable for Mark to think that she would not like the idea of having to do chores for his sake.

"Wow… Really? So you just want me to watch over you while you are asleep, right? To wake you up when your friend arrives, or when you are about to be kidnapped or something…" Alissa was able to see right through Mark's intention after he had told her that he wants to sleep.

"Yes, basically." Mark awkwardly replied, embarrassed because Alissa had flamed him for overthinking too much.

"Okay, good night. I'll wake you up, don't worry." Alissa said after hearing Mark's reply.

"Go to sleep, go to sleep." She gestured and demanded him to sleep, not even a second after she had wished him a good night. Doing such was one way for her to annoy him after he had annoyed her with his long and unnecessary story of his recent activities.

Soon, without Mark being aware of it, time passed by and it was close to being six in the morning. As usual, while sleeping, time would seem to pass by rapidly. That's how Mark was basically able to cope with the amount of hours that he had to wait for Artemis to arrive.

"Hey, wake up. A bunch of people are about to arrive, and you might get trampled by their feet." Alissa shook Mark awake with her hands that she enforced with her telekinetic powers.

"Huh? Oh… Wait, it's already morning?!" Mark was surprised after seeing a glimmer of the sunlight appearing in the sky already.

"How come Artemis isn't back yet?! Is she dead?!" He continued to shout like a crazed person. Indeed, to anyone that may cross by, or to everyone that was close enough to him, Mark seemed like some young adult who had taken in some dangerous drug.

"No! No, she's not… Why such negativity. She's doing very well at the moment, and is in fact having some fun right now. Well, a few minutes ago. She is buying and selling guns." Alissa told Mark about what Artemis was doing, which she was able to, because she had been wondering around the area while Mark was asleep.

"Okay, that's understandable. But, what about you. Weren't you supposed to watch over me…?" Mark said as he gave Alissa a look of suspicion.

"Haha… Well… It's boring to remain in one place as a ghost. Also, you're fine right now, aren't you? Trust me. Even if you were kidnapped, you would be save, because one, you are a great vampire, and two, I have great powers." Alissa boasted.

"Hmm… So I'm a vampire… Well, I don't know how to use my powers. So, there's that…"
