"Next" he yells after ripping the papers in half flinging them in the air, Michi watched with that same blank stare as the papers fell to the mud covered ground, she froze for a while, her face unreadable, but then like a switch was flipped she fell to the ground gathering the discarded pieces of paper that had already soaked a fair bit of snow, each paper she grabbed disintegrated falling into mush, but she still gathered them 

The guard watched her with contempt and slight perversion, barking orders for her to move along, that she was holding up the line, that she had made a mess, all the while my eyes couldn't tear away from the crooked smile on his face as she watched Michi on her knees scampering to pick up wet paper while apologizing profusely
