At last, I managed to go out of the castle. I could have snuck out of the castle. But I don't think it would be worth it to clash with the lord's order for something like this. We are in the summer, and the weather is sunny, but the temperature is not warm. It is more like autumn weather. I think it is around 10 to 15 degrees Celsius, it is a bit cold, but this is what passes as summer in the north.

So I have to leave from here at most around 6 pm. It would leave me with 12 hours of time. Before I try my hand at hunting, I want to try out all of my new spells, especially the locater spells. I think they are going to make me a lot of money.

Thanks to the promoheba (locate plants) spell, if I have a memory of seeing a plant directly with my eyes without any medium, then I can use this spell to find it. I am going to hunt for every precious and helpful herb I can think of.

So, I used the spell "promoheba (locate plants) ginkgo tree" When I said the words, I felt like a big wave started to move in every direction from me, but other than the loss of mana and the wave feeling, nothing else happened, but then I felt something it is like a pull from one spot, and I can also see a glow effect, so there are ginkgo trees here.

It took me a bit to reach one of the spots, but this is definitely a ginkgo tree, there are 10 of them, and I don't think there is their native place. I am thinking they must have come from someplace with more rain than snow, like Riverland or The Reach, but ginkgoes are resistant trees. They can live in cold areas as cold as -40 degree Celsius.

The Wolfswoods are mainly made up of oak, evergreen, black brier, sentinels, soldier pines, hawthorn, beech, ash, chestnuts, ironwoods, and firs, meaning it is rich with timber and stone. I collect enough leaves for myself without hurting the trees. This wood is really big, I mean it is gigantic. I think it is around 800 square kilometers ( 310 square miles)

So, I put my forearm on a big rock sideways so I wouldn't cut or nick my arm. I pull out my dagger from my waist and then start to put some weight on the bark armor on my arm. The dagger is not digging into the thing, but I am not using all of my strength either.

When I lifted the dagger, there wasn't a hole or a dent in the armor but a white mark. This time I cast "volhen gryves (the aspect of bear)," and I put my dagger to the edge of the armor, used all of my power, and tried to break it. When it didn't work, then I pulled the dagger with a slashing motion.

Screech!

The sound that comes from it is not the sound that should be coming from steel against wood, it sounds more like steel against steel, but the armor has a few millimeters deep slash on it. I inspected my dagger to see if the armor damaged its edge, but it was not damaged. It still has a sharp edge but is not as sharp as the other side's edge.

It becomes a bit dull, and I am not going to use my arm for a more dangerous experiment. So, I decided to use it on an animal I would catch. The spell's duration was 1 hour. After the time was up, it turned into rotten tree bark and fell off my arm.

The next spell I am going to use is Vocadyni (summon beast). To use this spell, I had left Erebus at Winterfell. It is not like I wanted a little peace and quiet, and it was for the experiment. So, if the spell has succeeded, it means I have enough mana for it, I know it has a range of 20 km ( 12 mi ), but I don't know how much mana is needed. This spell did not have a specific mana cost.

"Vocadyni (summon beast), Erebus. "It feels like the space right next to me started to bend and started to whirl. After that, a black vortex appeared then the vortex started to vibrate. In the next second, Erebus was flying right next to me, and the vortex was gone. In 5 km, it took 15 mana to use it. If we go by that logic, in 20 km, it should take around 60 mana.
