It Would Be More Convenient

Adjustments to her lifestyle aside, Gracie loved being with the Fraziers. She felt safe here. She had never felt safe anywhere else. 

She was always walking on eggshells around her mom and her various boyfriends and she always had to be on her guard once she was living out in the woods. Being with them felt more like home than anywhere else ever had. 

Part of it was having parental figures who were actually responsible and seemed to care about her well-being. Hannah especially was very attentive. Though she did insist that Gracie finish high school with them via homeschool. She wasn't thrilled about that but supposed the older woman valued school because she had a doctorate. Kyzi told her that he had done the same thing and it wasn't so bad. 

Hannah was actually a really good teacher. Doing homeschool wasn't nearly as bad as regular school where the kids all thought she was weird.
