I Just Do

April nodded eagerly and set the camera down before racing off toward the trampoline. Jasper did as she requested and she bounced so high she was able to do two flips on the way down. She laughed with exhilaration before begging him to do it again.

He did so a few more times before something went wrong. She landed one of her flips weirdly and cursed as her ankle began to swell. She clutched it in pain and cursed again a few more times for good measure.

Jasper had heard her curse before but it was still strange to hear things that came out of the mouths of his men coming from someone as sweet and unassuming looking as April. He pushed that thought out of his head and immediately went over to her, uncharacteristically flooded with panic.

"Hang on, I'll get you to the hospital."

He picked her up bridal style and hurried her out to his car, barely resisting the urge to curse himself. He should have known something like this would happen!
