"How do you feel about the beach?" Bree asked completely out of the blue.

Jasper blinked at her. "Uh…I've never been. I've seen some pretty pictures of them though. Is this relevant? I'm lost."

"You said you didn't know what my dreams are but you wanted to make them come true. I majored in hospitality and tourism with the stupid dream of managing a hotel somewhere tropical where I could read on the beach. I work in that dumb motel directly dealing with customers instead because it's all I could find after graduating."

His heart leapt in his chest. That was far more relevant than he would have thought. If she was asking him if he was okay with part of her dreams, didn't that mean she wanted him to be a part of them?

A hotel near a beach. He had plenty of money; he could totally make that happen. And if it happened to be somewhere gambling was legal, he could put his experience running underground casinos to use. That could work out well for both of them.
