Where am I ?

Helen was running through the forest as fast as she could. She was panting, her heart beat was loud enough for her ears, she didn't know how she could survive this; she was being chased by demon dogs.

But what were they after ?

In her arms was a child. But why were they after the child?

Helen kept on running and running then she saw a cottage ahead of her, she ran in and fainted.

later~

Helen opened her eyes, found herself on abed and an old lady rocking her sleeping child.

"oh dear, you are finally up. It's a good thing you weren't devoured by those demon dogs".

The old creepy lady said.

Helen was startled. The old lady emitted such a mystical aura that Helen couldn't comprehend.

"what? where am I? who are you?"

"you're at my cottage and you can call me Leila".

"but ..... what happened to the demon dogs?"

"ah~ let's forget about those damn beasts. Make yourself comfortable. What do you wanna eat?". said Leila playfully with a hint of secrecy in her voice.

Helen innocently answered " what ever You've got ".

Helen ate the little food Leila had then her baby woke up and started crying

waaaa~~

she carried the baby in her arms then Leila asked "what's his name?"

" I haven't thought of one yet.Hmm, Creston. Yeah I'll call you Creston".

Creston had fiery red eyes and blonde hair a bit brown, and white skin.

Helen was slightly plump, she had blonde hair and brown eyes. She had a pointed nose and small pink lips. One could say she was pretty_pretty that was why she was caught by Don Erick's eyes.

The cottage wasn't so small. It had three rooms, the living room with a kitchen at the corner, the bedroom and a lonely dark room. Helen never went there but that didn't mean she wasn't curious. She always wondered what was inside the room but anytime she tried peeking to see what was in, she always got stopped by the old woman.

One day Helen got fed up and confronted woman.

"why don't you want me to know what's behind that door?". Helen's curiosity was turning into frustration.

Leila sighed "it's because you'll find something that your weak human mind cannot comprehend".

Helen was shocked "what do you mean? what are you?".

Leila smiled "well I'm not a human but I'm also not a dog..."

Helen narrowed her eyes at Leila.

Leila rolled her eyes " Fine I'll tell you, I'm a demon"

" what? what happened to the demon dogs? Are they your pets?"

Leila laughed long and hard. "of course not. Me being a demon and the demon dogs being

demons we have slightly the same weakness so of course I used it against them"

" so they're dead now". Helen eagerly asked.

Leila frowned "No". "It could'nt kill them it only repelled them for some time. They'll come back".

Helen digested all the information.

"so you're saying behind that door is a repellant?"

Leila gave her a nod.

' But if there's a repellant then how did she get in? " Helen asked herself.

As if she was a mind reader, Leila answered

" I've got the antidote"

"That doesn't explain why you didn't want me to go to the room". Helen said with a puzzled expression on her face.

Leila was getting annoyed by this human.

"If the potion repels demons what do you think it'll do to you, human?"

"You know my name is Helen, right?" Helen didn't like the name "human".

Leila smiled " I do but I just wanna call you human".

Helen rolled her eyes.

"Hey, Helen, why were you being chased by those dogs any way?"

Leila hadn't even asked.

Helen didn't have anything to lose but Creston.

" promise me you won't hurt my son".

"I promise". Leila nodded.

"The dogs are after him". Leila was shocked.

Helen continued to explain

" I don't know why but when I gave birth to Creston, after some time those dogs came out of nowhere and started chasing me and Creston then I ran as fast as I could and here I am now." Helen swung her arms in the air then sighed. " Those dogs are coming back."
