The Truth

"Is this where Damon lives?" Alex asked Mikasa as they stood before a large mansion.

"Yes. This is his home and you are welcome," Mikasa replied. "Let's go in," she said to him before heading towards the main entrance. 

As they walked in, many eyes were feasted upon Alex and the girl in his arms but they dared not say a word because Mikasa was with them. After walking through the long corridor for a while, they got to the main building and went straight into the hall. There, Damon was standing by the window and waiting for them.

"Master, I'm back," Mikasa said to him with a bow.

"You did well," he replied. She raised her head, waiting for the next command. "Take the girl to her room and help her," he said to her.

"Yes, Master!" She replied and attempted to collect Lilith from Alex but he refused.

"I'll take her there myself," he said to her.

"I want to have a word with you," Damon said to him.
