At a bus stop at Bukit Panjang

I was going to eat at my favourite KFC restaurant. And somehow or rather I decided not to walk as the weather was extremely good but decided to take a bus.

Before I left home to go to my favourite KFC restaurant. I was in a dilemma. I had wore my favourite blue polo tee and rose- green bermudas the day before but I was conscious that someone from the public who saw me the day before might conclude I do not wash my clothes daily. I pondered profusely for 2 hours and eventually decided to wear it anyway but I wore an additional red belt and yellow socks so that it would seem like a totally different outfit. Pleased with my outfit. I decided to leave home to KFC.

As I reached out to open my front door. The doorknob mechanism open with a very satisfying click making me happy that I remembered to use singer oil the day before to oil it. As previously I had issues opening the door. As I closed and locked the door carefully. I started to walk cautiously to the elevator. Making a conscious effort to remember I have to press level 1 to be able to leave the building.

Before I could reach the elevator to activate the button. Suddenly I heard someone shouting "Rufus !!'" I contemplated turning around to check who called out "Rufus" as I was knew that was not my name but I decided to take a chance and turn around. In the far distance I saw two men speaking! My cat-like instincts were right in the first place ! No one was calling out for me. I lost that gamble big time. Deflated, I continue my walk to the elevator. As I recoiled in agony of losing that gamble. A brief thought flashed through my mind. "Curiosity killed the cat" in this context I was the cat that was killed.
