CONTRACEPTIVES

I looked at the corpse as I tried to find any possible evidence which was left behind on him.

"Where was he found?" I asked.

"In his bathtub". Betty said.

"With water?" I asked.

"Yes". Jordan answered.

"Hmm". The murderer destroyed all evidence by putting him inside the water.

"The elders are planning on closing the case due to no suspects or evidence". Betty said.

"I see". I nodded before leaving with Betty.

"So what are we going to do now?" She asked.

"I don't know". I smiled at her and she just shooked her head.

She left to her office and I went to mine. I picked up a file before I went to the conference room.

"Good Raymond you're here". Uncle Onathan said.

I sat down on the sit to his right.

"We were just about to begin" Elder Felix said.

"Why is Raymond here?" Edward asked.

"Because he's part of the upper house". Elder John said.

"He didn't even write the exam". He argued.

"Edward you're older than me but sometimes I still consider you a child". I said which obviously pissed him off.

"He could also be the murderer we are looking for". He said.

"Don't worry Edward it wasn't me. Instead of murdering useless people I was spending my time with a girl Worth it but in case I turn out to be murderer, you might be part of the deceased people" I smiled at him. "Let's begin the meeting".

"Now, Elder Jonathan was just found dead In his bathtub this morning by his housekeeper". Uncle Onathan said.

"Has the housekeeper been questioned?" Elder Lincoln asked.

"No we haven't assigned someone to take up the case". He replied.

"Hmm".

"The lab couldn't find any fingerprints, hair or any evidence to the murder so I guess the case has to be closed". Elder Justin said.

"It shouldn't be". Betty said.

"Why?" Elder Lincoln asked.

"The President of the council couldn't just die of slipping into the bathtub and drowning it's obviously a murder. And as he was the President of the council, I expect we should get to the root of the matter". Betty said.

"We can't just leave the case of other victims of a spree killing just for the president". Edward argued.

"I'll take up the case". I said.

"But you're already dealing with the case of this spree killing". Uncle Onathan said.

"I can deal with both". I said. "The president death was definitely not a one persons job, the man weighed 284kg. It wouldn't be so easy to put him in the bathtub and definitely someone from the council helped in this murder because the president house is fully secured".

"I understand where he's coming from". Darlington said.

"Okay then, you can take up the case with your team". Uncle Onathan said. I looked at Betty and she smiled at me.

After the meeting, I called my team to my office.

"We will be dealing with both the murder of those individuals involved in the spree killings and the President's murder". I said and I was about continuing, when I got a text.

'How about tonight, I will be busy tomorrow night'. Tara said.

'I will call you in a bit '.

"I'll see you guys later". I said.

AUTHOR'S POV

Betty looked at Raymond strangely. He never ends a meeting halfway no matter the texts he gets.

"Why are you still here?" He asked her as everyone already left.

"I should leave too!?" She looked at him surprised.

"I need to make a phone call". He simply said and she stared at him for a while before walking out of the room.

He called Tara.

"Yeah?" Her little voice voiced in his ear after the third ring.

"Are you free now?" He asked.

"Yes?" She said.

"I'm coming to pick you up". He said.

"I have to work". She said.

"It resumes two right?" He asked.

"Yes". She said.

"We will be done before then". He said.

"Okay". She said before she hung up.

He left the office to her house. She got into the car as soon as it stopped. They just drove in silence when he stopped in front of a store.

"Come with me". He said and she just came out of the car with him. They walked into the store.

"What are we here to buy?" She asked.

"Contraceptives". He said and her eyes widened in shock. "You shouldn't have asked" he chuckled.

"Um…am regretting it now". She said and smiled as they walked to the drug sector.

"What would you prefer to use?" He asked.

"Um…I hate pills and shots". She said.

"Condom it is". He said as he picked a few. They walked a little further and picked up a lubricant. Tara didn't know what it was for but she decided to keep her question to herself.

After that, Raymond picked up a few Alcohols and wines. When they were done picking out the things Raymond came to buy, they went to the cashier to pay. As the lady brought out the things her eyes widened in surprise.

Raymond had picked four of the big size of Durex condoms. Tara looked so flushed as she behaved as if she was looking around. While Raymond just stood there with a blank look and at a point, chuckled at her reaction.

Some individuals who couldn't keep their eyes to themselves looked quite surprised as well.

"Thanks for shopping with us". The cashier stuttered embarrassingly as Raymond collected the bag of goods. They arrived at his place after ten minutes.

They walked up to his study. They sat down beside each other. Well Tara didn't have an option about their sitting position.

"Okay your questions?" He said.

"Um…the days". She said.

"When are your free days?" He asked.

"College will be starting soon so…" She trailed.

"For now". He said.

" Monday, Wednesday and Saturday". She said.

"Good".

"And about what each of us are willing to give". He said.

"Literally everything is cool with me". He said.

"Um…I um".

"No kissing…" He said.

"For some time". She said and he nodded understandingly.

"Is that all?" He asked.

"Yeah…" she was happy it turned out easier than she expected. She signed the papers before handing it over to him.

He collected the papers from her. He stood up and sauntered to his desk. He placed the document on the table. Tara was going through her messages when she felt his lips directly under her earlobe.

"It's Monday today ". He breathed before he bit it gently which made her sigh.

He came to stand in front of her as he stretched his hand.

"Come with me". He said and nervously, she placed her hand on his. He tugged on to her hand softly as they walked out of the room and where headed to he's room which was at the very end of the hall way.

Once they got in, Raymond locked the door behind him. Tara tried calming her nerves by looking around and telling herself that she has done this before and of course with him and there was absolutely nothing to fear. She started to believe it until he wrapped his arm around her waist so smoothly that it made her shiver in surprise.
