My Mum Is Pregnant

MICHAEL'S P. O. V

It's been weeks since we visited my birth place. Honestly I felt good after the visit. Everything has been going on smoothly. Brianna is in school so I decided to take an opportunity to visit her mother. I arrived at the house and knocked. Eunice opened the door and I greeted her. She responded and allowed me to enter.

"Michael are you here because of our conversation the last time" she asked

I nodded slightly

"Michael please forget this. Brianna can't know who her father is" she said

"Eunice you and I know that every child wishes to have both her or his parents in his or her life. I want you to be honest with her and also tell her about Daniel" I said

She gasped

"Eunice, Daniel is my son and I know everything he does even if he doesn't tell me. Let your daughter know what is going on" I said

"Alright I will think about it" she said

I left the house after convincing her further.

ONE MONTH LATER

BRIANNA'S P. O. V

I closed from lectures and returned to my hotsel. I prepared something to eat after that I cleaned the house and started reading my book. Mr Craine and I have not been talking often. I have not been visiting him. He has been busy with work and I also have been busy with my studies.

I was in bed when my phone rang I connected the call after knowing the caller.

"Hello mum" I said

"I'm sorry ma'am this isn't your mother" the person said.

I got a bit anxious

"Where is my mum" I asked

"Ma'am your mum fainted so she has been rushed to the hospital" the person said

"What! How did this happen" I asked

"Please ma'am come to the hospital near the MAC MALL" the person said

I quickly got up and dressed. I rushed out and went away with my bodyguard. I called Mr Craine but he didn't pick up so I called Daniel. He promised to be there soon.

I arrived at the hospital soon. I quickly went to the reception. I was told where my mum was. I got there to meet some doctors.

"Doctor what happened" I asked

"Who are you to the patient" one of them asked

"Doctor I am her daughter" I said

"Alright please relax and call your father to come here quickly" he said.

"I'm sorry my father is dead" I said

I was getting emotional

"Isn't there anyone you can call" another asked

I kept quiet because I didn't know what to do. I never knew any of my mum's relatives. Ever since I was a child it has always been my mum and I. I wiped away a year from my eyes.

"Hello doctor" someone greeted

I turned around and it was Daniel

"Hello Mr Daniel" the doctors responded

"What is going on" Daniel asked

"Daniel they wanted to meet a relative before telling me what was wrong with my mum" I said

"Doctor please tell us what is wrong" Daniel said

"Mr Daniel, the patient is pregnant" the doctor said

I moved back in shock

"How can this be possible? My mum doesn't have anyone. Ever since my father died, she has been alone" I said

"Please relax" Daniel said

"How can I relax. Who is responsible for this? Was she raped or what" I shouted

"Please be calm. You will get an answer to your question when she wakes up" one doctor said

The doctors left after attending to her.

DANIEL'S P. O. V

I panicked when Miss Bennett informed me about her mother. I quickly rushed to the hospital without telling Mr Craine. I felt good when the doctor said that Eunice was pregnant. I felt like screaming and jumping with joy but Miss Bennett's reaction scared me a bit.

"I don't think she will accept this." I said to myself

I quickly texted Mr Craine to come there quickly. I could sense that Miss Bennett was angry. In an hour a nurse came to us and told us that we can meet Eunice. Miss Bennett rushed inside and I followed quietly. I texted Mr Craine again.

"Mum who is the father of your child" Miss Bennett asked rudely

Eunice turned to me. I realised that she was surprised so I nodded to her to confirm that she was pregnant.

"Mum why are you looking at Daniel? Tell me who is responsible for your pregnancy* she shouted

"Young lady you better watch your tone of voice" Eunice replied

"Mum at your age you are pregnant and yet you don't feel ashame. You are shouting at me" Miss Bennett said

Honestly, I didn't expect her to go this far.

"The baby is mine" I shouted

They both turned to me

"What" Miss Bennett shouted

"Mum is he telling the truth" she asked

Eunice stared at me and smiled

"Yes Daniel is my baby's father" Eunice said

"Are you crazy" Miss Bennett shouted

"Brianna" I shouted back

"What" she shouted back to me

"Mum you are in your late forties, you slept with a man who is my boyfriend's bodyguard. Someone who you are much older than. You are really shameless" she shouted

"Brianna! Don't talk to your mother like that" I shouted

"Shut up" she said

"Anna please calm down" Eunice said

Tears started flowing from her eyes

"Mum I can't believe you and him were fucking around" Miss Bennett said

Eunice slapped her.

She gasped

"Mum you slapped me because of him" she said

She pointed to me

"No Anna I slapped you because you are disrespecting me" Eunice said

The door opened and we all turned. It was my Boss

"Daddy" Miss Bennett shouted

She went and hugged him

"Daddy, your bodyguard betrayed me" she said

"What is going on" Mr Craine asked calmly

"My mum is pregnant and your bodyguard is responsible" Miss Bennett said

Mr Craine looked at me and turned to look at Eunice.

"Relax baby girl. It's alright. They love each other" Mr Craine said

Miss Bennett moved away from Mr Craine

"Daddy you knew what was going on between them" she shouted

"Yes I knew" he replied

"Why didn't you tell me" she asked

"I wasn't the one supposed to tell you. Your mum was suppose to not me or Daniel" Mr Craine said

"Daddy you betrayed me" Miss Bennett said

She stormed out of the room.

"Brianna" Mr Craine shouted

Miss Bennett didn't return. Mr Craine turned to us.

"I told you to tell her the truth. Now you see what you have caused. Eunice did you see her reaction today. Imagine what she will do when she finds out that her father is alive. Anyway congratulations on the baby" he said

Mr Craine also left the room. Eunice started crying I went to her and hugged.

"Please don't cry" I said

"Mr Craine was right. I should have told Anna everything. I regret everything" she said

"Eunice do you regret being with me" I asked

"No dear I didn't mean it that way. I love you and you know it" she said

I kissed her forehead and hugged her.

"Everything will be fine" I said

I helped her get on the bed. She slept off after a while.
