Chapter 17

Hendrix quickly walked to the side of the bed and as he blocked the entrance that the lady was going to use for an exit. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Sophie, and the fact that she pushed a step behind was a clear indication that she didn't want any trouble.

"Why do you want to leave, Ava? Do you need to rest you know? I will settle the bills. By the way, I am the cause of this whole damn situation. I shouldn't have acted up like that, I truly should not have done so," Hendrix's words deep down in her head.

Ava didn't want to talk too much, she hates the young man in front of her, nothing could possibly change her thoughts about him.

"Oh! how kind of you to consider about others, but then, you should have used a moment to think about it so much before harming me," Ava spat out.

The heat that grew through her entire face was swiftly wiped off when he clearly saw the expression that filled Hendrix's face. It is one of despair.

Hendrix took a long breathe down his throat, indeed, he was finding it challenging that Ava was talking to him anyhow. This is something that he doesn't get to see on a daily basis. Usually, he makes the rules, he was in charge of controlling the tones of ladies that drool over him, and that is particularly because they were fond of him to an extent that it will earn her sick to the core.

"Ava, please, don't make this hard on us, consider Sophie, by the way, she is an even partaker of these words, I don't want her getting the wrong notion about me, I am no beast," she spat out.

Indeed, he meant the words that slipped out of his mouth, and the fact that he had a ready made audience that gave him her full attention, although to an unfondly state, considering that she was less interested as well, it just made him want to rake his mind severally.

Ava had a blank expression on her face, she hates Hendrix's guts, and the fact that his confidence level was top-notch only made it worse, especially on her side.

Swirling her head to the side to stare at Sophie, the child stood there as she looked away from the two adults that passed their time arguing like they were kids. It is sick how that even functions, but even though that was the

"Hendrix, I am aware of the fact that the child's mind might be raking to hear what we have to say, and that is truly awake, and the fear that garners his heart is one that she has not even thought of," Ava spat out.

She meant the words that had just slipped out of her mouth, and although the feeling crept through her, all she did was break the laws in any case.

Hendrix sulked on his breath quite well, that was literally sick, and brushing the thoughts aside, all he did was to close the distance between Ava and himself, and when the lady's words quite easily.

Ava's thoughts that ran through her head is that the young man wants to kiss her. To Ava, that was a no, especially in front of a child, that was no morals to pass out, but then, Hendrix had his own plans going through his mind, and at once, he rather brought his mouth close to the lady's ears, and immediately, she kept her words flowing quite well, and the fear that swept through her made her grit her teeth so much, there isn't much of a stress and that is all the same.

Hendrix bowed his head a little down as he led the words that slipped out of his mouth flow freely while he plastered his mouth against his ears.

"I forgot to tell you that I would be paying for your hospital bills, and you will do me a favor to silently follow me to my house where we will have a small discussion that needs to be carried out between us," the young man blurted out nonchalantly.

Hendrix meant the words but his bigger fear was having a lady like Ava who is so headstrong ascertain to what he has to tell her. He knew that Ava was a whole deal in one package, and he had readily accepted her mood swings and the idea of the fact that the lady doesn't like her at all.

It is sick that all these things even have to take place in this manner, but then, he just let it be like that.

Ava's mouth dropped open as she heard the man's words fill her eardrums. This is the highest peak of disrespect in this life, there is nothing she can do about it.

Instead of answering her in a nice manner, the young lady decided to be blunt towards her in every way possible. Shooting the words that had now formed into sensual daggers, she let the words leave her as she formed each word with precision, making it known as much as she wants it.

"Did I just hear you say talk? haha haha! you must be kidding me, Hendrix. Do I look like one of those confused girls that drool over you for no purpose? of course not, I am way better than these things, I wouldn't even let you get too close to me, not to an extent that will lead to another baby, especially with an irresponsible father like you," the young lady spat out in pain.

Her words hit Hendrix like a big bang, he felt the impact of the lady's words dee down in his bone marrows. Hendrix had only planned on talking with Ava, especially about the fate of his daughter, but now, it seems to have taken a very dangerous tour, one that he hasn't seen coming his way so soon.
