"Damn woman!" He cursed under his breath, brows furrowed. She could sleep through a thunderstorm and wouldn't even know if someone sold her off!
"Stop it…" Tara Summer mumbled, flinging her right arm in an attempt to shake off the man's hand gripping her cheek.
Liam Yancey held her wrist tightly. Tara frowned, instinctively trying to pull her hand away but to no avail.
Her brows furrowed deeper, and Tara finally opened her eyes, hazy from sleep. The car was dark and she could only make out a little light shining through the window from outside.
Tara felt someone was moving in the blurred darkness. She couldn't make out who it was, but the man's scent was all too familiar to her.
"Liam Yancey…" She smiled dazedly, moving closer to him. Her breath smelled of alcohol, making him frown.
Liam Yancey's handsome face was dark. He let go of her wrist and turned on the car light.
