6-5 Questioning (2)

Date: September 9-10

Place: (Clinic) Interrogation Room

[Rei]

"I want to check him out for myself," I suggested and his face lit up but gloomed afterward.

"But the doctor said to take a rest and not exhaust yourself," he said trying to keep me from being apart from the clinic's bed.

"I'm perfectly fine and besides I've slept more than I did compare to the last time I've transformed," this is a fact that I'm worried about. Is it just the voltage that took a huge toll on my body or because I was transformed out of my will and into something that has its own senses? Either way, I can feel that my body will get exhausted easily for the following days.

"I knew you'd be like this" he sighs and shows a piece of paper, literally shoving it to my face. "So I got a permit to do anything we want to him," he smiles proudly. "But we have to sneak out of this clinic first because they strictly said that you can't leave this room until you're fully recovered," he whispers.

"Where is he? I demanded an answer from the fifth colonel; Grynne who is in charge of the people behind bars. She has a fierce gaze, short black hair with a few hints of dark blue in it, and she's taller than me. Even with her slim figure, I heard she can fight well. Cedrick handed her the permit when she starts judging our presence.

She sighed and allowed us to follow her. We were walking down a few stairs to the basement where I think the cells are. "I don't care about the methods you'll use to get anything from him but please, just try not to end him entirely. At least leave him barely breathing if you want," she looks and sounds tired from the tone of her voice. It must be a hassle to take care of everything here. Especially when someone dies. But I bet there's not much to see here...is what I thought.

As we go deeper, passing some cells with people in it, some giggling, begging for help or food, or pleading with their apology. But there are also the violent ones who try to break the bars or bang anything.

"Let me out of here," I looked at the old man who extends his arms to me when I got close to his cell.

"They look so innocent," Cedrick commented but she groaned when she heard that.

"Looks can be deceiving," she sighed. "That man violated a rule of the distribution of food, made a fuss, and sent a soldier to the afterlife using a spoon," she points at the little boy who looks like a teenager.

"That one raped women, kid or not, and even admitted that he had quite the time of his life," she groans. It was an old man who looks like he lost his job. He was giggling, probably imagining the fun things he'd done to those poor girls.

"Those are-" Cedrick interrupted her.

"You can stop now. I'm sorry," fist crumpling from the thoughts that someone who looks innocent can do something so terrible. Now that I look at it, there are a lot more people here than I imagined.

People change depending on the situation. Some of them probably think that it's better to do something fun while it lasts and some try to survive even when they know what they're doing is wrong or are just a complete idiot trying to choose an easier path.

"Here we are," she says when we stood in front of a metal door, opening it with an ID. There sat the old man, handcuffed and sitting at a chair with nowhere to escape. "I knew someone would visit him so I prepared everything beforehand" she explains. "Feel free to use anything, I'll be in the room next door to monitor and record things," she exits at the door while waving goodbye to us.

I took a glance at every corner of the room to see a lot of tools that can help us. Then I took a look at the old man where I see no sign of violence used to question him. It's just like what Cedrick said earlier. No sign of blood, scratches, or even bruises. Or maybe they were too lazy to do the job and just waited for me to come. Either way, it seems like he hasn't spoken a single word at all when Gynne gave me some information about him.

"But there is only one thing that we knew from him. It's that he was ordered to do those things to you from the very start and that it's not just one person, there is a possibility that they are a big organization," she says.

"Is he asleep?" Cedrick asked and looked at the one-way mirror above where Gynne is watching. I looked above and noticed a few speakers and cameras at the four corners of the ceiling.

"He was drugged so we can easily move him here. He was a feisty one," we heard her loud and clear thanks to the speakers. "He should be up now," when she said that, I noticed the old man trying to take a peak.

"Don't try me," I say lifting his face with a dagger. He's sticking on pretending that he's still unconscious even when our eyes just met earlier. "You can't fool me," I say sticking the dagger in between his legs. But he managed to move his legs on time to avoid being stabbed in his balls while letting out a small growl. "Hi," I greet him when there is no way for him to pretend anymore.

"Now, where should I start?" holding another dagger that Cedrick gave to me as I use it to intimidate him by giving him a scratch on his right cheek.

His gazes trembling, hands sweating and teeth-gritting from anger.
