Patrick told her more than enough for me to guess what her reaction will be. She stood up from where she sits and made her chair fall.

"They did what?" she shouts. "You knew about it beforehand yet you did nothing to prevent everyone from dying?" she's so agitated that she forgot to take a glance in reality. "You didn't even do something?" she continues. I couldn't handle her tantrum even back before. But I knew that what she was saying was nonsense. We barely even got anyone to escape and almost everyone was sacrificed for that night. Besides we're just one of the few soldiers who they order around.

Patrick stood up to give Rei a good headbutt. "Then tell me what we should've done," he says as Rei is trying to rub her forehead to wash the pain away. Vincent laughed and so did I. Rei's face has been priceless whenever Patrick does that.

"Thanks," she replies like she needed that to calm her down. Even if it's frustrating, I admit that we couldn't prevent that with just a little time and little manpower we had at the moment.

"Sure thing," he replies with a sad expression.

"If you don't mind me asking, is Professor Norby alive?" she asked, eyes full of worry. I guess she doesn't know. The other two were silent and didn't seem like they want to deliver the bad news to her. But I already decided to not lie anymore and give Rei all her desired answers. I took a deep breath and prepared myself.

"He killed the Director even before we planned the escape," I say first to spoil what kind of answer she was expecting. I don't even want to admit that he is the bad guy because he wasn't that kind of a person, well not after his wife died. "And he became the new Director. But no one noticed it because he was so good at hiding things, Noel found out about what his objective was and didn't like it. He had no choice but to obey his father because they both found a way to hopefully revive the beloved woman in their life, Noel's mother and the Professor's wife," I finally spilled the story for her. And oh boy did she looked so confused about what kind of expression she should have. Happy for that hope, angry for a lot of things, or pity for the both of them. She just stared at us, still processing everything I said.

"Enough of this, can I just ask if you guys could file a report of everything we talked about today," she says standing up, holding her head like she got a major headache from everything we've talked about.

"What? Are you insane? This is private information. What if someone found out about this?" Patrick took the words out of our mouths. But she ignored it and just walked away to her desk, laid on her back, and search for something below her table. We hear her open a piece of wood and saw her stood up with some memory sticks in her hand.

"Use this, I write everything here just in case," she says sighing giving us all three of it. "Open the files and you'll see which information goes to which USB," she says before walking out the door. I guess she needs time for herself to think and calm down. I can say that she was about to explode again but she suppressed it. She even forgot to teach us how and where we should return this.

[Rei]

I don't know where I'm headed to but I don't even care. Everything makes sense now. Well, not everything, just pieces of questions that I ask myself are answered now.

    Questions like;

Why did he drastically change when he was asked to the Director's office for questioning?

Why did he try to stop me back then?

Why did he look like he purposedly stayed behind?

I knew he had his reasons but I just wish he trusted me enough to tell me this kind of thing. What am I even doing? It's no use getting worked up from remembering what had already happened. I would have never imagined that Professor Norby, one of the people I looked up to was the villain all along. So it means that he was also the one who also killed all of my friends just the next day. Even if my friend's father, his actions are unforgivable. He has become my enemy.

Just thinking about it boils my blood.

I found myself already in front of the Supreme Leader's Office. I come here too often that my subconscious already memorized the way. I walked away and was going to the training area when someone grabbed my shoulder. I looked behind me to see a messenger who looked like he just came out of the office.

"Good thing you're here, someone wanted to give you this," he said giving me a piece of paper in broad daylight and with this many people around us. He couldn't be more careful. I snatched the paper that he's holding and walked away.

I half run and half walked to the nearest water source I can find before I visit Cedrick mentoring Noel. To the toilet, I went, and luckily, there was no one inside. I left the door unlocked and went to one of the cubicles. But I saw a bucket full of water near the mirror's side and threw the black little paper there instead. The written message won't be seen if not drenched in any liquid.

Other people can understand this if they have been given a lot of these silly codes, like me. But unfortunately, I think I'm the only one who can read this so I just left the paper float around as the message starts to fade. Its ink fades when given time on any liquid. Did you get what it says?
