Jang Sora: y/n [ Your AU Name ]
Sora's POV
"What's taking him so long?" I grumbled, aimlessly glancing around the street. I don't want to be late for the event.
Beeeep!
"Oh my goodness!" I cried, jumping out of my own skin.
"Mianhae! Come on. I'll take you home," Yoongi apologized after stopping his mini-scooter by the sidewalk. He looks so cute on his scooter, especially with the safety helmet.
"What took you so long?" I pouted, walking toward him. Yoongi took out another helmet and placed it on my head.
"Ah! Safety first! There was a traffic jam a few blocks away. I'm sorry," He muttered while tightening my chin straps.
"It's okay. We have thirty minutes," I grinned at him.
"We're set! Kaja!" He beams, getting back onto his scooter, and pats the seat behind him. I hop onto the scooter and securely wrap my arms around his waist.
"Let's go~," Yoongi announced while smiling as he drove forward at a steady speed. Yoongi is my boyfriend. We've been together for a couple of years and he's working as a part-time pizza deliverer. He's trying to get into a music school in Seoul so he needs the extra cash.
"So, are you having a special guest over?" Yoongi asked as we drove past the park. I sighed and leaned against his back at the thoughts of the strangers from another city.
"I heard it's some rich people from Seoul. Appa's best friend," I replied as we sped down the slope. I like how the wind softly brushes against my face as we drive. It's very comforting.
"Really? Woah, that's cool," He replied, coming to a halt at the red light.
"Not as cool as my Yoongi," I teased, smiling at him through his scooter's mirror.
"Stop being so cute~ I'm driving. We'll get into an accident if you keep it going," He chuckles cutely as he starts the engine again after the lights turn green.
"We're almost there~!" He informed, taking a left turn and we finally came to a halt in front of my house.
"Oh? Is it them?" Yoongi questioned while staring at two elderly ajumma and ajusshi. They were shaking hands with my parents by my front door.
"I guess so?" I shrugged, getting off the scooter.
"Come here," Yoongi beckoned, pulling me toward him. I smiled and leaned forward, so he could untighten the straps for me and lifted the helmet off my head.
"Look at the way they dress- Do people dress like that in Seoul? It looks so uncomfortable," Yoongi muttered, keeping his eyes on them as he put the helmet away.
"Maybe just the rich?" I huffed, turning to look at him.
"Should we say goodbye? Or should I kidnap you?" Yoongi smiles as he reaches for my hands. How can a person be so gentle and sweet?
"We'll have to say goodbye. My parents will forbid me from seeing you again if you kidnap me," I chuckle, pushing a few strands of his soft hair away from his eyes.
"I'll see you tomorrow then? Eomma wants me to bring you her freshly made kimchi tomorrow," He cheekily smiles at me. My god. I can't resist such adorable smiles, only Min Yoongi has that kind of gummy smile.
"Yeah, goodbye. And tell her thank you," I nodded, leaning toward him. He softly kissed me while he sat on his scooter. He always makes me feel safe.
"I'll go now~ Take care~" He pouted, letting go of my hand, got back onto his scooter and slowly rode away.
"Drive safely..." I whispered, watching him disappear around the corner. I turned around after he left, pushed the gate open, and walked inside while smiling like an idiot.
"Ah! Sora! Come here!" Appa calls out for me, causing me to snap out of my thoughts.
"Anneonghaseyo! I'm Jang Sora!" I greeted, bowing shyly at the elders.
"Ah! She's so pretty!" The woman gasped, squishing my cheeks between her palms. Oh wow. Did she just call me pretty?
"She's blushing...," The man chuckles at me.
"Sora, this is Mr. Jeon and Mrs. Kim!" Eomma introduced me to them. Oh? Is that really Mr. Jeon? I haven't seen him for a long long time. Mr. Jeon used to stay at our house for months back when I was younger.
"Sora! Are you okay?" Eomma suddenly nudged me, so I blinked a few times.
"Huh? Oh! Neh! It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Jeon and Mrs. Kim!" I politely bowed once again. Why do they have different last names? Aren't they married?
"You've grown a lot since I last saw you, Sora!" Mr. Jeon smiles warmly at me. He still has that smile. He's a really nice man, that's for sure.
"We should head inside, it's getting dark. I've prepared the food for all of us," Eomma excitedly held onto Mrs. Kim's hands. I hate reunions, a family reunion is one of the worst but your parent's reunion with their friends? It's awkward as hell and I just want to run upstairs and hide under my blanket or go for a ride with Yoongi.
"Sora, go upstairs and dress well, okay?" Mom whispers into my ear. Eh?
"Why? Can't I just wear my pajamas like our normal dinner-"
"Sora! They are high-class guests! Please, dress properly," Mom quietly snaps at me. What? I don't get this. Am I supposed to impress them with the way I dress?
"Eomma. Why are you like this? Do they have any idea w-"
"Sora! Don't say a word! Remember what we always tell you? Now be a good girl, go upstairs and look pretty," Mom slightly pushed me up the stairs.
"Araso..." I rolled my eyes in annoyance and made my way upstairs. What's so special about them anyway? Why can't I just put on my pajamas and peacefully enjoy my food? My mom always exaggerates everything and by everything I mean every effing little damn thing. It's annoying. We spent the night having dinner with Mr. Jeon and Mrs. Kim. I mostly didn't understand what the hell they were talking about so I sat there pretending to understand and enjoy their business-related conversation. Isn't that what we all do in a situation like this?
"How old are you Sora-shi?" Mrs. Kim asks me.
"I'm 19 years old, Mrs. Kim," I smiled politely.
"My TaeTae is 22! You'll surely like him!" She smiled at me. Taetae? What kind of name is that?
"Ah, I'm... sure I'll... like him..." I nodded awkwardly. I have a boyfriend. Didn't eomma tell them?
"Jungkook-shi will get along with you too," Mr. Jeon smiles while taking a sip of his wine. He eyed me with a curious look, so I nodded uneasily at the way they were eyeing me.
"I hope so," I agreed while beaming at them. Who the hell is TaeTae and who the hell is Jungkook??? After dinner, I was allowed to go to bed because they had to discuss something important. I like both Mr. Jeon and Mrs. Kim, they're really nice. It was almost midnight when eomma knocked on my door to ask if I was asleep.
"I'm not asleep yet...," I answered, so eomma came in but it wasn't only eomma, appa came in too. Wae?
"What's this?" I questioned, sitting up in my bed unsurely. They've never come into my room together like this.
"We just want to talk to you about some things," Mom weakly smiled, sitting at the edge of my bed.
"Mr. Jeon and Mrs. Kim will leave early in the morning tomorrow. They're busy people," Appa informed me after sitting on the chair beside my bed. What is going on? They're being weird.
"Oh okay," I blinked at them in confusion.
"You said you want to attend a business university in Seoul?" Eomma asks me. Oh...? Suddenly?
"Yes! I'm going to attend it?" I gasped in excitement when I felt a flood of happiness filling my chest.
"Yes, you are. But it's gonna be an average school, nothing extraordinary. You should understand why Sora. We're protecting you," Appa weakly smiled at me.
"It doesn't matter! I understand- I'm still glad!" I smiled at them. Whoooohooooh! I'm finally going to Seoul.
"But..." Eomma pursed her lips, anxiously staring at me with her unsettled expression.
"But?" I raise my eyebrows... waiting for her to finish her words.
"We've decided that you'll be staying with the Jeons. We don't want you to be alone in the city," Eomma patted my hand.
"What?! You're making me live with strangers?" I gasped while staring at them. Dumbfounded by their decision.
"The Jeon and Kim are no strangers to us. They'll welcome you with open arms. It's for your own safety," Appa patted my shoulder.
"I don't understand. We can just b-"
"Sora, how many times do we have to tell you? You don't know what it's like out there! Here, you have peace and happiness. Out there... out there, it's dangerous. You have no idea how wild things can get," Eomma stared at me dead in the eyes, which means she's serious.
"The Jeon and Kim's households are the safest for you, Sora. We're giving you an opportunity to achieve your dreams," Appa stared at me anxiously.
"I understand," I sighed, finally looking down at my hands. Eomma and Appa left afterward. But I couldn't sleep the entire night, so I got up and dialed Yoongi.
"Sora?" Yoongi answered. Hearing his voice made me feel so much better.
"Were you sleeping?" I asked through the line.
"No, I was trying to compose something," He chuckles. Ah, his laugh. I love his voice and him. He makes me feel a million times better.
"I just want to hear your voice," I whispered quietly, there was a long pause between us.
"Is everything okay? Should I take you for a ride?" He asks in a worried tone.
"Everything is okay as long as I can hear or be with you," I whispered while snuggling my face against the pillow.
"Ahhhhh!! How can you be so cheesy and cute?" Yoongi whines across the line.
"See me at the park tomorrow, okay? At 4:00 pm," I closed my eyes to process my thoughts. How can I leave this guy behind? I can't, I can't leave him.
"Araso, you should sleep," Yoongi is playing the piano because I can hear it through the phone.
"You should sleep too, good night yobu~" I smiled at my phone.
"Good night jagi~" Yoongi replied and we hung up. I was about to go to sleep when someone sent me a request on my sns.
"Huh?" I sat up to stare at my phone screen. Park Jimin. It was a guy with brown hair and monolid eyes. We had no mutual friends in common, so I clicked on his friend list.
"Kim Taehyung... Taetae..." I whispered, staring at one of the names. Isn't that Mrs. Kim's son? I clicked on the profile, but it was private so I searched for the guy named- Jungshuk?
"Oh, it's Jungkook... not Jungshuk..." I facepalmed myself. The profile was also private, but it had a girl's picture in it.
"Hmm... whatever," I shrugged, going back to Park Jimin's profile. If he's friends with them then maybe I should accept him? To know a little bit about the people I'm gonna live with?
"Park Jimin..." I whispered after accepting his request. I turned off my phone and went to bed.
