Chapter 118 Brainwashing Can't Stop

As expected, until the end of Dumbledore's speech, he didn't add a single point to Gryffindor.

Andy suddenly thought of the night Quirrell had been killed.

It was the night that Harry and Ron had been caught on a night out, and Gryffindor had once again got forty points deducted.

"Hmm...?"

Was that Dumbledore's order?

Andy suddenly realized that something was wrong with the situation, that night, Harry and Ron actually had a chance to face Voldemort straight on.

Was it Dumbledore who ordered Snape to stop them?

'Did Dumbledore change his plan?'

Andy suddenly thought, 'Maybe Dumbledore has also realized that it's hard to accomplish anything big with just Harry and Ron.'

In that case, a change of plan becomes necessary!

'I just don't know what Dumbledore actually thinks.'

Andy frowned slightly.

Noticing Andy's gaze, Dumbledore smiled and winked towards Andy.

Andy only felt a chill on his back.

After a year of getting along, Andy could be said to have thoroughly understood Dumbledore's methods.

Dumbledore seldom directly schemes against others, he has always hooked those who are willing to be hooked.

Those who were willing to help Dumbledore in his work; he believed that they did it out of 'voluntariness'.

He would just put things in front of their eyes, and then they would get it done properly due to a variety of factors such as personality, hobbies, and a sense of justice.

What an old silver coin.

The audience burst with clamour at the end of the speech.

Tomorrow was summer break and everyone was talking about their summer holiday plans.

"Andy, do you want to come over to my house for the summer? Michael and Anthony are coming over." Andy's roommate Terry asked.

"Sure! When?" Andy didn't say no.

After all, he would be living with his roommates for another six years, and this kind of necessary socializing wasn't something Andy would normally skip if it wasn't too much of a hassle.

"August!"

Terry said, "I'll write you then."

"Then it's a deal!" Andy laughed.

Anthony suddenly came over, "Andy, I heard you're going to Hermione's house for the summer. Is this about meeting the parents?"

At the end of his sentence, Anthony looked at Andy with an ambiguous smile.

"Who did you hear that from?" Andy looked confused.

Michael teased, "A lot of people heard you and Hermione talking about it."

Click!

Andy stiffened and turned his head over.

The little witch was pretending to talk to someone else, and just by looking at her reddened little ears, it was clear that she had heard Anthony and Michael as well.

Andy: "..."

"I just want to take my sister to a muggle amusement park," Andy said rather helplessly.

Having dealt with his dorm mates, Andy sighed with some heartfelt relief.

If Hermione wasn't here, Andy would have graciously admitted it.

It was just a pity that Hermione was also here, and if Andy dared to admit it, he might have to spend tonight in the school's hospital wing.

"Do you have any travel plans for your holiday?" Hermione asked.

"Probably walk around the neighbourhood, what about you?" Andy said as he ate.

"Well...I won't know until I get home."

The young witch said excitedly, "But I would like to go out of the country and see the other countries' wizarding worlds specifically."

The dinner was over.

The next morning, just as they came, the young first-year wizards were led by Hagrid to the Hogsmeade train station to take the train.

"Are the ones behind keeping up? We have to hurry, the train will be leaving soon."

At the very front, the tall Hagrid shouted at a group of young wizards who were not yet as tall as his thighs, the voice was as loud as thunder.

In Hogsmeade station, Andy could see the old steam train from afar, its body painted in a beautiful red, steam rising thickly from the exhaust at the front of the train.

Following the crowd onto the train, Andy led Hermione to an unoccupied compartment.

The compartment was large, and Andy and Hermione's roommate were originally going to sit over there as well. But after seeing the two of them together, they were very smart and said that they would find another compartment.

Hermione saw this and blankly glanced at Andy in dismay, who shrugged his shoulders and revealed a triumphant smile.

Taking out his wand and waving it lightly at the door, Andy locked the compartment door for the time being.

"That's not very nice, is it?" Hermione whispered with some embarrassment.

"They can squeeze in, there's enough seats available," Andy said indifferently.

The young witch grunted softly, pulled out a book and flipped through it.

Andy waved his wand again and a small silver-white cat flew out of the tip.

This was Andy's Patronus.

"Are you still practising the Patronus Charm?" Hermione asked, looking up.

Hermione had learned this spell too, but she was only able to create a white mist, and could not summon her Patronus at all.

After learning that this spell could only be used to expel Dementors, Hermione had given up on this magic for the time being.

"It's not like I'm practising, well ... I'm trying to improve this spell," Andy explained.

"Improve the Patronus Charm?"

Hermione looked at Andy in surprise, "That's not easy to do."

The difficulty of improving a magic, and creating a new one, was about the same in terms of difficulty.

Even in some ways, improving magic was a bit more difficult.

Creating a spell not only required rich magic attainments but also a certain talent for inspiration.

While improving magic ...

One must realize that the wizarding world had developed for thousands of years, and the magic system had already been perfected. Many spells had been perfected over thousands of years by successive generations of spell masters.

There simply wasn't much room for improvement.

"Do you know Obscurus?" Andy asked.

Andy was ready to seriously communicate with Hermione for once.

It was both a way to exchange thoughts with each other and get Hermione to agree with his ideas. At the same time, it was also brainwashing, to subconsciously guide the young witch.

"I read it in a book."

As soon as they talked about knowledge, the young witch wasn't sleepy at all, "Obscurus is a dark magic force, when a Wizard child is physically and mentally abused, they become emotionally overwhelmed by extreme pain, which creates a dark magic parasitic force called 'Obscurus.' "

"If I were a professor, I would definitely give you an extra ten points." Andy laughed.

Hermione gave Andy a blank look in dismay.

Andy continued, "What about the Patronus Charm?"

"The Patronus Charm is one of the most ancient and powerful defence spells in the magical world, and it requires one to focus on something happy in their mind when casting the spell. The Patronus Charm is extremely difficult, and only a very few wizards can summon their own Patronus ..."

Hermione was worthy of being the famous Miss Know-It-All, and with just a little nudge from Andy, she immediately understood what Andy meant.

"Are you saying that the Patronus Charm and Obscurus, are two completely opposite types of magic?" Hermione exclaimed.

"I have a lot of evidence to prove that!"

Andy said seriously, "The Patronus Charm is indeed a very ancient magic. I think that the ancient wizards invented the Patronus Charm based on Obscurus, a completely opposite kind of magic."
