Insomnia

Cadmus stepped out of the room and into the balcony.

He padded across the polished marbled floors, and with a sigh, took a seat on the wooden outdoor chair. His attention wandered off, slipping back and forth in a never-ending loop.

Blair had no idea how much she's driving him insane with want. Sometimes, it would get to a point when Cadmus didn't question her occasional change in behavior.

She was not as direct before when it came to displaying her affection. It had taken him some time to gain her full trust so that she was completely comfortable with him. He should have guessed that one so hard-won would never have acted so forward.

'More reason to continue with the gentle approach,' he mused.

Cadmus had decided long ago that, as far as becoming lovers was concerned, she would have to come to him. No matter how difficult the path ahead would be, he had never wanted to put pressure on Blair.
