Chapter 6

"Who do you think is giving you the flowers, Dari?"

I looked at Mom, and her forehead was furrowed. Even I, it makes me wonder to whom the flowers came from.

I have been receiving for a month. But until now, he still does not introduce his self, nor even just say his name. But no, no one knows who he is he, except himself, of course.

All I know is his penmanship. That's all, if he really wrote my name on the stems. Everything he gave me last month is still alive. I have a flower vase and I put it there, so they will not die. It's nice to see the flower vase; it has many types of flowers in it.

"Maybe he's getting ready to introduce his self, Mom. If he introduces himself as my lover, I might answer him immediately," I shrieked. Yup, maybe I should do that because he is so sweet!

"Go ahead, take a bath. You may be late for your press conference." I kissed Mom's cheek before I went up to my room.

This is our third press conference since we finished the movie. First, the day after we finished it. Second, before the movie got released. And this is the third time, after the movie got released. Yup, it got released yesterday.

And we're flattered by the number of tweets we immediately read. Those people are really heart-warming. After I got ready, I informed Mom before leaving. I was surprised to see Kaid in front of the house, carrying a car and flowers.

He immediately greeted me with a smile that I also gave him back. I didn't take my car anymore because he opened his car for me; I just got in his car. Instead of in the studio, he took me to the park.

"What are we going to do here, Kaid? We might get late. Our Director will kill us."

"I will just say something for a moment. Come down first." We went down and sat on the swing again. "Do you still remember what I told you a month ago?"

"Dariantha, I want to ask you something, but can you answer it truthfully?" The words that he said came back in my mind, so I nodded at him.

"What were you going to ask back then? You didn't get to finish it when Lynn suddenly came in." I really wanted to ask him about it, but I thought it might not be important, so I just let it go. And here we are now, talking about it. It seems important because Kaid's tone was serious. He only did that once.

"Can I court you, Dariantha Fernsby?" He averted his gaze while I got astounded by his question. "If not, it's okay."

I shook my head immediately. "No, no, it's okay, but I can't promise you to receive 'yes' from me, okay? I am clarifying it already because I also do not want to hurt you, Kaid."

He faced me with a smile on his face. He took the flower he was carrying from behind and gave it to me. "It's okay, but I will make sure you will change what you said. I will make sure I get your sweet 'yes', Dariantha."

I just laughed. "You're not sure, Kaid." I smelled the flower and stopped because after smelling it, I noticed something like a carved letter on the stem of a flower. It was a bouquet of roses; I saw it in the middle rose.

"Why are you staring on the flower, Dariantha? Don't you like it? Sorry, you can give it back if you don't want it." He was about to take back the bouquet when I put it on my back.

I shook. "I like it, Kaid, thank you for this." I smiled, smelling it.

He invited me to go to the studio so we went. When we arrived, he immediately wrapped his arm around my waist. Cameras started to click and their flashes started to flash. When I was just new in acting industry and I finished a movie, I still get kinda blind from the flashes of cameras. But as years passed by, I got used to it.

Kaid and I smiled on the cameras. When we were in the studio's lobby, we saw Ackley, Lynn and Dalton there. That's why my brother was not at home, huh? He got here early. I got preceded by him again.

When Dalton saw Kaid's arm wrapped around my waist, he punched him instantly while Lynn shrieked. When I looked at Ackley, he looked at Kaid badly, yet the latter just smirked at him.

Sometimes, our half-brother is also mysterious. "Dariantha, our Dad wants to see you and Dalton. He was there with Mom. Is it okay?" I was a little surprised by his question.

Like I said, I'm not mad at Dad, but Dalton is. He is the one I care about; he is still angry with Dad. But he was even more angry with Ackley than Dad. Also, we haven't been able to talk or even see Dad for three months. It seems that Ackley's Mom, and he went abroad for business.

"Of course, I want to talk to him. It's been three months since the last time we talked," I smiled before I looked at my brother. "Dalton, come with us. Let's talk to him," I invited him.

"No thanks, you better just go alone. It's better for me to have Lynn clinging on to me than talk to that bastard."

I sighed. I already expected this from him. How can I force him, eh? Uh-huh! "Kuya, please," I pouted. "Come with us, Kuya. Talk to him, will you?"

And I just dropped my weapon.

He darted a glare at me. "I said, I don't want to talk to him, Dariantha. Also, don't call me Kuya, it sounds disgusting." He was about to ask Lynn to leave, but I told him not to go with Dalton.

"Why don't you talk to your Dad, Dalton? There's nothing wrong with that," Lynn told him.

"Since the day he chose that whoreㅡAckley's motherㅡover Mom, I no longer consider him my father. Yes, he's giving us some of his time when he has to bond withㅡhis first family. But that is not enough, because we want him not to divorce with Mom. After all, what can I do if there is a leech who's flirting with him, right?" He smirked at Ackley, but the latter clenched his jaw.

I just shook my head. It looks like they will fight. "Mom has never been flirtatious. Always remember that, Dalton. There won't be a flirtatious if there's not a man who wants to be flirted with. Dad wanted Mom to flirt with him, so Mom did it. Also, your Mom didn't give Dad enough time before. He said that your Mom always does business so Dad looked for someone else. Dad found a woman that can give him time, at si Mom 'yon. He chose Mom over yours because she can give time to Dad."

Before Dalton could get close to Ackley, I stopped him. "Stop it, Dalton. Don't make a scene here." I didn't call him 'Kuya' anymore because his head might get hotter, which I really don't want to happen. I already saw how he is when he gets so angry, and I don't want to see it again. It's like there's a monster inside him.

"If you don't want to talk to Dad, don't come. I will only take Dariantha." He pulled me over and went to a side part of the lobby.

When I saw Dad with Ackley's Mom, I waved to them. Ackley's Mom was kind, Mom also gets along with her so much. Dalton was the only one who is angry with them. "Good morning, Dad, Tita," I smiled.

Here in Philippines, if there is a woman you know and older than you, we call them 'Tita'.

"Good morning, too, Dari. Where is your brother?" Dad asked.

Sighing, I answered him, "He's in the main lobby, Dad. He's with our friends." Dad just sighed, he is used to it. I turned to "You seem to get prettier each time we meet, Tita."

She laughed. "You are being silly again, Dariantha. You always make me laugh. How are you? How is Delayza?"

"She's okay, Tita." Delayza is my Mom's name while Dad's name is Drayden. Acaleigh is the name of Ackley's Mom. "Mom misses you. When are you free so you can visit us, Tita?"

He looked at his phone first. "Maybe the day after tomorrow, Dariantha. Also, Ackley and I might not go so that you can bond with Honey. It's been three months since you last bonded."

"All right, Tita. I'll tell Mom later. Won't Dad and you go inside the studio?" I asked them. Ackley will also be inside because of his little exposure when we thought Kaid would not be coming. Our Director invited him, after all.

"Not anymore, Dari. We will stay here," Dad answered. "We might not be able to sit there. We know you are famous so you will definitely have many reporters there later," he added.

"You can stay backstage, Dad. Maybe there will be more people here later. You'll be more comfortable there, Dad. "

"All right, Dari. Honey and I will follow later."

"Calling Ms. Dariantha Fernsby and Mr. Kaiden Adler. Also, if Ms. Breylynn Relish, Mr. Dalton Fernsby, and Mr. Ackley Fernsby are already here, you can come with them. You can all proceed to room number 201." We all looked at the speakers here in the lobby when someone spoke.

Ackley and I informed them before we went back to Dalton. My brother calmed down a bit when we returned; I could now breathe easily. We all went to Room Number 201 after it.
