Chapter 91 I Believe In You

Blue/ Ava’s POV

I jumped from the counter. I almost lost my balance because of nervousness, luckily Nicholas caught me by the waist. I looked at him and he was just staring at me with nothing but seriousness. Though, I can feel rage in his stares, it seems like he’s trying to suppress it.

“Ava!” Edward called me desperately. I turned to him and bit my bottom lip. His eyes are now red and begging. Why? I mean he should be shocked since he caught my patient standing so close to me. He should be shocked but why can I only see pain and fear in his eyes?

I heaved a sigh and turned to Nicholas. “P-Please leave us.”

His eyes mirrored his pain. He looked away and sucked his breath. I could see that he somehow hoped that I’d choose him. Not now, Nicholas. Please, understand.

I watched Nicholas slowly turn his back and walk away slowly. He even glanced at Edward and clenched his jaws before leaving us. I bit my bottom lip again.

“What was that, Ava? You’re having an affair?”
