"I'm sorry… I'm sorry for failing you once."

I bit my bottom lip as I felt tears pooling in the corner of my eyes. He was hugging me so tight as if he's afraid to let me go. I can feel his pain. I can feel his regrets. His fear. I don't want him to feel this. Seeing him cry breaks my heart.

I swallowed hard. "D-Don't fail me twice, Nicholas. Tell me the truth. I want to know why my heart yearns for you. I want to know why I don't remember us."

He pulled away and stared into my eyes. "The doctor said it's not good to force yourself."

I shook my head. "I'm not forcing myself, Nicholas. Just tell it slowly. Slowly make me remember my past."

His eyes flickered with pain and worries. "But…"

"Do I have to use Nicholai to make you do what I want?"
