Chapter 59 Stronger Together

Blue's POV

Nicholas was hugging me from the side while we're sitting on the couch. In front of us was Atticus who's convincing Nicholas to handle the Sanford Empire while his father is in a comatose state. Nicholas kept on refusing and I can see Atticus' frustration about it.

"Young master, the Empire needs you. Please!"

I heaved a sigh and looked at Atticus, signaling him that I'll talk to Nicholas. He nodded and got what I wanted to say. I faced Nicholas after Atticus left. I cupped his cheeks and lifted his face, making him face me.

"Nicholas, your father needs you."

He shook his head. "I don't want his business, Blue. If he doesn't want his business to fail, he has to wake up."

"I'm not asking you to handle the business permanently, Nicholas. I'm just telling you that it needs you now. No one's gonna take care of it."

"Atticus can handle it," Nicholas insisted while clenching his jaws and fists.

"If he could handle it, he won't ask for your help."
