Charlotte reached for the door handle, but Raymond swiftly stopped her.

"What are you doing?" he asked, his brows arching upward.

"Aren't we going to the hotel?" Charlotte replied, innocence etched on her face.

Raymond's expression turned amused. "No, we aren't. You don't know how it works here. Rooms are booked months in advance. We can't just walk in."

Charlotte's voice trailed off, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "I thought we could just...go in and..."

Raymond chuckled, shaking his head. "Charlotte, this isn't a movie. It's real life. It doesn't work that way."

He settled back into his seat, a hint of smugness in his tone. "Besides, only the ultra-rich can afford rooms here."

Charlotte's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "I thought you were rich?"
