Chapter six: The Awakening
Athena inhales and exhales as she ran to check on Kai's injuries and make sure he was in stable condition, before her big second match. However as she was running the doctor in charge of the surgery stopped Athena .
"Your the kid's friend right, i understand you want to see him but right now, he needs rest i suggest you worry about your fight. Who your going to face next is no weakling he is from a prestigious family".
"I know doc Athena mutters. By the way, thank you for helping Kai. And don't worry about Connor i have an ace up my sleeve. if it's not too much trouble could you spare a moment and direct me towards the armoury room". Athena says with a massive smile on her face.
The doctor shows Athena the way to the Armoury. Upon her arrival she picks up a silver Katana she had stowed away in the armoury, before the first challenge.
She had trained for months learning all she can about the fourteen samurai stances and she knew that if she were to win against a powerful foe like Connor she would have to use all that she had learnt .
Athena began walking towards the arena holding her katana to her side. She was ready to take Connor on. Athena was extremely ready, and extremely thrilled more than anything. She knew that Connor is only a mere stepping stone for her. He was the last obstacle between her and her dream.
She enters the arena and feels the pressure, and began to slowly doubt herself if she is actually powerful enough to take on a royal. Athena stares at Connor entering the arena and he was emitting a dark aura. The same aura of a wild beast hunting its prey.
"You actually showed up, you commoner, what a fucking disgrace, to us royals. A powerless girl actually thinks she can go up against a royal" Connor says in a hysterical tone.
Athena glares at Connor with nothing but disgust as she became more and more enraged but managed to maintain a cool head. The tension grew thick between the commoner and the royal.
The overseer can easily tell how they both want to join the legion. They were both full of passion and extremely young and above all they wanted to join the legion. The overseer yells on the mic may both contestants get ready to Fight. Athena unsheaths her Carbon steel silver katana and point it towards Connors head as if she was warning him. Connor laughs and floats and points both his palms towards Athena, ready to kill at any given moment.
"The overseer yells let the match begin"
Athena uses all the force in her legs to shatter the ground. Breaking the speed of light she goes in for the kill ready to strike her opponent down. Connor smirks and opens a void sending Athena running into the wall, he then opens two more voids one in beneath Athena and one in the sky. Which caused Athena to fall, she lands gracefully and it was at this moment reality hit her. She cant reach Connor. And if she can't reach him she can't win this. She began to comprehend the type of power Connor wields, and how powerful it truly is. Connor opened many voids and started to punch Athena over and over again she tried to block as many shots as she can with her sword.
She decides to start swinging her sword around in an attempt to merely injure or at the very least graze Connor.
Connor manages to evade the fatal hits however he still got grazed by the sword, only a few scratches and grazes
Athena jumps back a few meters and carefully analyses the situation she is in.
she realises that she is beat up and weak however, still has enough energy to just barely keep up with Connor.
Suddenly he disappears and reapers behind her and ends up slamming Athena to the floor he then starts kicking and punching Athena with his fist's
Athena gathers all the remaining strength in her left arm to go for one more punch directly to face. Causing Connor to fall back and wipe the blood off his mouth
Athena attempts to dash towards Connor carrying her sword, she was a predator ready to kill its prey...
Connor opened a void and threw five knives in it the void opened on top of Athena and the knives went through her back she fell towards the floor. Coughing out blood and attempting to stand up.
At the very same moment a mysterious figure appeared at the top of the colasieum….. Thunder rolled in and heavy rain. The mysterious figure wearing a cloak and dark clothes stares at Athena and looks at her struggle, and attempting to grasp the remainder of her life.
"Child of Ashura rise to the noble there is still worlds to be conquered you have the gift of both…..."!!!!!! Says the mysterious man
Athena looks up at Connor. He spits on her and continually steps on her " A mere commoner made me a descendant of royal blood... bleed, a powerless bitch" he continued punching,kicking and harassing Athena.
"Don't let them look down on us unlock your potential child, and reclaim what needs to be reclaimed control the power you were chosen for ATHENA".... Says the cloaked individual
At that same moment a surge of power flowed through her veins and Athena faded out consciousness and was in a pitch black room suddenly the room started disappearing slowly, and she began falling in a bottomless pit.
There she saw a dark entity slowly and vividly becoming more and more clear. She then saw this entity was a girl about 5'11 she had a light pink skin, and had white frosty hair she also seemed to have two small sheep horns coming out of her hair or skull. The mysterious woman who appeared before Athena was breath-taking. she had a small tail and wore a miniskirt alongside a white shirt which highlighted her sensuous breasts and had an extremely 'sexy figure' the scent the mysterious woman gave off was immensely arousing.
"Who are you" Athena said in scared tone.
