Kiera sighed as she typed out the last few words of her daily chapter. It had been a tiring day for her and now writing was messing up her sleep schedule. Her brownish hair that had been pulled up in a messy bun was coming out from all places and her large black spectacles did very little to hide the bags now appearing under her greyish eyes.

She had just started writing on Webnovel a few months back and it was a source of inspiration for her as she interacted with all the different users on the Discord server the app had made for them. She wasn't much confident on writing originals, so she decided to work her way up the stairs the traditional way.

Fanfictions.

Kiera wasn't experienced in fanfictions either, and she knew that writing fanfictions meant holding up a lot of expectations because these characters were well known in the real world and loved by a lot of people. If any slip up happened, she would have people chasing her down the street, wanting to cut her throat.

But writing wasn't an easy job.

It used to seem an easy job when she had seen it from the outside world. It seemed that all you had to do was sit down on a chair with your laptop and type away all you want. She realized the harsh reality when she had actually begun writing. It required a lot of time, dedication and hardwork and it definitely wasn't a piece of cake everyone from the outside world believed it to be. It was a challenge and Kiera was willing to take it.

But writing also had a toll on her. She was working a full time job and often she would just want to throw herself on the bed with some ice cream and watch Netflix and then fall asleep. But no, she knew that the readers were out there, waiting for her to release a new chapter even though she wasn't that famous.Yet.

She quickly opened the inkstone app via browser and had just clicked on the publish button when-

TING!

The sound of the notification in the inbox surprised her and so did the pink dot on the button. She had been used to not seeing the pink dot for a while now because most people never cared to comment or vote for her book.

She hadn't even realized the extent of her excitement when she quickly clicked on the inbox button. Her face quickly lit up when she saw what the notification was for.

Kiera couldn't hold her excitement in as she tried to see who had decided to give her fanfiction a chance.

Kiera couldn't help but smile as she read the comment. It did help her cheer up from her bad mood, it showed that the readers actually appreciated the book. And if there was something at work that bothered the shit out of her, she could just look at the comments and feel better all over again.

Kiera's hands moved swiftly as they quickly opened the Webnovel app via browser. Quickly logging into her profile, she made her way through the chapter right down to the comment section where she had received her first comment.

"Hey, it's me your new reader Kin!"

"Thanks for the chapter Author!"

The excitement and the adrenaline that had been building up inside of Kiera was evident as her face broke out into a huge grin. She couldn't help but smile at the fact that someone had decided to give her book a try. She knew there were many amazing authors out there in the world of WN and she wasn't at all capable of competing with the hotshot writers. At least, not yet.

As if the writing gods were looking over her, blessing her, Kiera's phone rang. If grins could get any wider, her face did just that.

"Somiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!" she squealed as soon as she hit the receive button.

"Whoa whoa, hold your horses young woman," the voice on the other side chuckled in amusement, "What happened to you, my little miss bestseller."

"SomeoneactuallycommentedonmybookforthefirsttimeandIfeelsohappyaboutitIcoulddie." Kiera let out a sharp breath as she said all of this.

"Whoa woman, just because I work in a studio doesn't mean I actually understood that, now tell me again."

Kiera took in a deep breath as she tried to calm down before starting again, "Someone actually commented on my book for the first time and I feel so happy about it I could die."

There was another chuckle on the other side.

"I thought you had met up with Katsu in your dream or something."

"Eonnie!" Kiera whined as she leaned back against the headboard, "Don't tease me about Katsu, you know he is my favourite idol, and he's out of bounds. At least let me dream about him! You won't even let me get a free studio tour!"

"Kiera," Somin explained, "I don't work with Katsu, I work with another entertainment company. I work under YG and he's with JYP."

"Aw come on you guys are in neighbouring buildings," Kiera argued, "You guys must have met him at least once."

"He's an idol, sweetie, there's nothing I can do." Somin apologized, "Anyways, I called to inform you that I'd be coming to Boston next month. Will be staying with you for a week. NOw does that sound good?"

"Not as good as getting me Katsu's autograph but I'll agree." the sisters laughed at the statement.

"Okay, tell mom I love her,"

"Yeah, tell dad I love him too."

Somin was the first to hang up. It had been almost three years since the sisters had been separated due to their parent's divorce. Somin was now forced to stay with her father in Seoul while Kiera had to stay with her mother in Boston.

Life hadn't been easy for any of them but they somehow managed to survive.

It was too early for dinner so she decided to go to the discord private server to tell the news to her friends.
