Sophia and Jade both paddled their way into the mansion after getting out of the car, Jade held onto Sophia's hand pulling her into the mansion. "Are you alright? Don't worry mum and dad will accept us back, we just have to plead with them and that's all." Jade muttered standing in front of Sophia and holding her hands. Her face was red from the slaps she received from her parents, her eyes had a bit of a cold expression in them. Jade lovingly rubbed her face to clear the color from it, he placed a peck on it when she didn't answer him.

"I understand Jade, will they tell us to get out of the house as my parents did? I don't know what to do if they tell us that, why can't everyone understand that we love each? Why? Why can't they see our love and yearning for one another?" Sophia questioned faking a pitiful expression, she acted docile with tears flowing down her eyes.

Jade felt touched by her tears making his heart ache in pain, he raised his hand and brought it to her face wiping away her tears. "Don't worry, they won't. Dad may be hard on us but mom will help convince him to help us."

Jade remarked reassuring her, he didn't want her to have any form of insecurities with him. "It is not your fault I love you and prefer you to Alix, you don't have to worry about that. I will tell you we both love each other and want to be together forever, I will take all the blame upon myself." Jade muttered consoling Sophia.

"I don't want you to take all the blames upon yourself, you can't do that. It's equally my fault too." Sophia mumbled trying to seem righteous and understanding.

"I chose to engage in a relationship with you so it's all my fault for doing that, let me take the blames okay? It will all turn out well, after this we will go get some food." Jade muttered wiping off the remnants of tears on her face, he held onto her hand and pulled her in.

When Jade turned his back to Sophia, a wide cunning smirk appeared on Sophia's lips. Her expression was filled with happiness and victory, she smiled with content her life was going to go on a smooth note from then on. No more hurdles in her way of a happy life.

Walking into the mansions living room, Jade and Sophia came face to face with Mr. and Mrs. Brook. "Mom, dad I am home," Jade announced forcing a smile and pulling Sophia to hide behind him. Mr. Brook raised him to yes turn his son, he glared at him with an expressionless face various thoughts running through his heart. All he wanted was to murder this son of his that has bought more than enough disgrace to him, Mrs. Brook on the other hand rejoiced happily seeing her son standing in front of her.

She wanted to rush to him and pull him into a hug but held herself back, she knew her husband was currently fuming and her supporting her son could put her at a disadvantage. "Dad, won't you welcome your son? You haven't seen me for days now." Jade muttered stepping closer to his father, while his mother was busy gesturing him to go back but he didn't pay heed to her. Mr. Brook raised his head in anger, standing up to his feet a swooping sound was held all around the room. Two slaps were given to Jade by his father, leaving everyone speechless.

The bashing they had gotten from the wedding a few days ago, had kept them out of the house. They didn't have the heart to return home, but now they were back.

"Honey! What was that for? He is our son." Mrs. Brook cried out walking towards Jade, "uncle, please forgive him. Uncle doesn't hit him, just hit me instead uncle. He isn't at fault for all of this." Sophia pleaded to come to the front, she knelt before Mr. Brook with tears running down her cheeks. Jade raised his head from the bent position wordlessly, he was left speechless at the slap he had just received from his father.

"Father! Dad! How could you slap me? Dad why?"

Jade questioned his father clenching his hand into a fine fist, his veins bulging out of his neck. His eyes darted to Sophia kneeling on the floor and pleading with his father, "get up Sophia, this isn't your fault. This is all my fault, I am the reason for all this you don't have to plead on my behalf." Jade muttered bending down to pick her up from the ground.

"No Jade, this is also my fault. I am the reason for all this mess, if I didn't entice you and you fell for me this wouldn't happen. If only you have happily married my sister." Sophia continued with her melodrama trying to gain more attention.

Mrs. Brook pitied her son and Sophia kneeling before them, she felt they were right. No one knew when love would come into place, it was their duty as humans to accept and go with the flow of life.

"Sophia, just get up already. I told you and I will say this again, in front of everyone. I don't regret what I did, I never will and I won't. I don't regret not marrying Alix, she isn't the one for me I don't love her." Jade muttered in a loud voice.

"She was never right for me in the first place, all she ever dreamt about was living a fairy tale life. I never wanted all those, I wanted someone who could support me in business and stand by my side like Sophia. That's the truth and nothing can change it." Jade mumbled pulling Sophia up with him, his expression was filled with determination to do what he wanted.

"I will say this now and forever if you don't support us then it's alright. We will leave and find a life elsewhere." Jade mumbled, he held onto Sophia, pulling her he attempted to walk out with her.
