Building up a Squad

[Suggestion for building a squad:

The Organizer: An expert organizer to help run and expand your movement efficiently.

The Stormtrooper: A ruthless military man who can enlist others to violently enforce your whims.

The Assistant: A trusty assistant to maintain your busy schedule and record your pearls of wisdom for posterity.

The Hero: To help you impress the deep-pocketed elites because revolution isn't cheap.

And of course, you always have to keep your eyes open for new talent.

Rewards: 25,000 per loyal member.

This mission is indefinite, you can gain 25,000 tyrant points for every loyal member in your inner circle even if the mission is deemed complete.

The new mission will soon be unlocked after you placed some of your loyal members in the suggestion the system provided.]

"This one is easy."

Ernest said as he sipped a glass of water. He was in dire need of tyrant points to hasten the development of the city. The raw materials for the concrete road were finished and he needed a paver to pave it on the road and a roller to compact it.

Each machine costs at least 25,000 tyrant points so for every member the system deems loyal to the user, he'll gain 25,000 tyrant points, which is one machine.

Ernest just needs to buy one machine as there is a dwarf in his party to replicate the machine he had summoned, making him spend less on system shops. But the only thing that limits them is the current metallurgy of this world. But luckily, the dwarves were versatile and were able to build something beyond their imagination.

Ever since he became the city lord, the races that most impressed him are the dwarves and the beast-man with their skills, talents, and power. They'd manage to work and complete processes faster than the average human from Earth.

To fill out the empty seats on the position the system suggested, Ernest called the people he thought fit for his squad in his office.

Fifteen minutes later, they arrived. They looked tense as they had no idea why Ernest called them.

They performed a salute.

Ernest saluted back.

"Good afternoon everyone, sorry for pulling you out from your work."

"It's okay, Volksfuhrer, if the supreme leader needs something from us, we'll immediately comply." Alwin, the elven representative, bowed his head reverently.

"Is there something that you want us to do, Volksfuhrer?" Sophia asked.

"Sophia...you shouldn't speak when Volksfuhrer didn't give you permission." Alwin reminded.

"...Sorry." Sophia apologized.

"Okay enough."

There are only two of them. Ernest called them out specifically as they are the ones who fitted the two seats in the position the system suggested.

"Okay attention." Ernest clapped his hand as he rose to his feet, glancing at them. "The reason I called you here is simple. Our movement is getting bigger and bigger as time goes by, in the future, it'll grow even more but it won't be that easy when I don't have the skills to execute my plan." Ernest explained.

The two gasped in awe, getting recognized by the supreme leader is a feat to be celebrated, they were enamored and their eyes filled with anticipation made Ernest get to the point.

"Sophia, as my assistant ever since I started this movement you were there by my side. You are the first member of my cabinet and I am deeply honored to work with you. For that, I'll give you an official position in the United National Socialist Party. You are to become my assistant."

Sophia wasn't surprised, her work ever since the founding of the UNSP is his assistant.

She pouted. "So I was not your secretary and you just acknowledged me now?"

Her voice is scary but at the same time cute.

"Woah easy there, you're leaking something." Ernest let out a stifled laugh. "Of course you were my secretary and you will be the only one. Just as you said, it was for formality."

"So it was like a promotion?" Sophia asked.

"Yes," Ernest confirmed.

"But promotion comes with an additional workload. I want to know what those are."

"It's simple. An assistant's work is to maintain the busy schedule of the Volksfuhrer and record its pearls of wisdom for posterity. So every time I make a speech, you'll record them." Ernest explained.

"Hmm...okay fine." Sophia reluctantly said, pouting.

"Why are you still angry?"

"Well, you didn't acknowledge me as a secretary back then."

"You still haven't moved on?" Ernest chortled. "Okay okay, my bad. I won't let it happen again."

"You better be…" Her voice sounds threatening.

Ernest ignored her gaze and glanced at Alwin.

"Sir Alwin, in the restaurant where we first met, are you the one who organized the meeting?" Ernest asked.

Alwin shook his head. "I'm terribly sorry but I was not the man who organized the party."

Ernest frowned. "Then who is it?"

"It's Sir Wayne sir, the former human representative. Why?"

"Ah...it's Wayne." Ernest bit his lips and produced a clicking sound. "That's too bad, I called the wrong person."

"It's sad to hear that. I thought I was the one you're looking for. But I was wrong." Alwin depressingly said.

"Wa-wait. You're misunderstanding something. Just because I mistake you for someone doesn't mean you are useless. You are cultivating the fields the City of Eighbury has, right?"

"Yes...since in the industrialization act, there's a clause there mentioned where the City of Eighbury population will grow after winter. The current yield of Eighbury won't be able to support the huge influx of people. So I went with my team to cultivate the lands so, in the future, it won't be a problem."

Ernest gasped in amazement. "You're a proactive one, Alwin. I'll give you that."

"Thank you, Volksfuhrer."

"So the reason I called you here is to give you an official position as the organizer of the UNSP."

"Ahh...so it was administrative work? So that's why...okay I see now." Alwin said, nodding. "But unfortunately I don't have any administrative skills, but I can refer you to sir Wayne. He's a good organizer. When you are not at the party, sometimes the party is always on the brink of collapse, precarious you might say, as we have hatred against each other. But he stabilized it...until he snapped. I thought it was the end of the party but luckily you came."

"Hmm, that's a nice short story…" Ernest said. "Okay...Sophia, send a formal letter to Sir Wayne, ask him if he wants to become my organizer."

"Understood, Volksfuhrer."

"I'm sorry if I make you feel bad, Sir Alwin."

"It's okay, Volksfuhrer."

But Ernest still feels bad about calling him here and not giving something. Ernest thought of anything that can appease his sad feeling.

"Okay since you were being proactive by cultivating the farmlands, I commend you. Perhaps, I can offer you a position to become my minister of food and agriculture." Ernest offered. "Becoming my minister of food and agriculture, you'll become my adviser in everything related to food and agriculture. What do you think?"

"I am deeply honored to be offered one. As elves, we are the master when it comes to agriculture so I can handle that job Volksfuhrer."

"So it's decided," Ernest said and officially placed him as his minister of food and agriculture.

[Congratulations: You received 50,000 tyrant points.]

Seeing the system message prompted in front of him, Ernest frowned a little.

So cabinet members count huh? He thought.

"Setting that aside, I have something that I badly needed in the UNSP, especially for the Protection Squadron," Ernest said, his tone becoming serious.

"What is it Volksfuhrer?" They both asked in unison as if their minds were synched.

"Currently, I am the supreme commander of the Protection Squadron, a paramilitary group that answers to the UNSP. I'm looking for someone that can manage." Ernest knew that if he phrases it in the way he wanted, he won't get a straight answer. So he directed. "Are there veterans here or knights who fought in the war? Something like a decorated hero...or a genius commander." Ernest inquired.

Sophia, who was his assistant, answered Ernest.

"So you're looking for a leader that can handle the Protection Squadron? I think we have one living in the city."

"Ah, is that Louis Nicholas?" Alwin asked.

"Yes, the young genius strategist of the Kingdom of Crentis. The one who defeated two Empire battalions who masterfully split the enemy into two and defeated them separately." Sophia moaned… "Ugh, he was a talented general…"

"Ahh is that so?"

"Oops, someone's getting jealous."

"I'm not jealous." Ernest declared, "I am just as great as him. So, where do we find him?"

"Hmm...I think I know where he lives and also...when I was organizing the factory workers' files I remembered his name written on the list."

"Huh? He didn't join the Protection Squadron instead he joined as a factory worker?"

"Yes, sir."

"He is wasting his talent, let's go meet him. Sophia, you find his file and tell me where he lives, I'll meet him personally. The meeting is dismissed."

The three concluded the meeting with a salute.

Hello guys! Believe me, I want a mass release as much as you guys do so I'll do my best to make one. But that will be once I completed outlining the next arc. So for now, two chapters per day is the routine. Thank you, Volksfuhrer out.
