After getting a new skeletons ratmans and learning their ability to wear equipment, ClownFrog continue hunting the ratmans left and right while leveling up in the process.
[Level up! You became level 9.]
[You have slain: Ratman – level 9.]
[Level up! You became level 10.]
"Huh. That didn't took that long. It seems things are going bit better today."
"Also, most of my skills leveling way faster now."
"This is probably because I can have more undead fighting and being made nonstop."
"Anyway, time to make new skeletons."
"[Create: Lesser Skeleton]."
[Current number of undead: 13 skeleton servants and 4 ratmans skeletons.]
(I've been putting all of the stat points I could get my hands on into [Necro Mastery], so the monster I can use as many undead as possible.)
"My current [Necro Mastery] is 75 plus 3 from the cloak and another 20 from [Basic Necromancy] level 4. Making it total of 98."
"Right now, I'm using 60 points on the skeleton servants and 6 for each ratman, so 84 points are currently being used."
"By the looks of things, I have to put even more points if I want to increase my army size."
(Hunting today is going more smoothly than I thought. I manage to level up twice already, but I'm probably still lagging behind the other players.)
"Anyway, lets continue hunting."
ClownFrog beginned walking through the forest while trying to find another group of ratmans.
"…."
(Found them.) – though ClownFrog while hiding.
A group of 4 ratmans was walking through the forest.
(Just go that way little bit closer and you are goner.)
"….?"
While observing the ratmans from a safe spot, another group of ratmans came over from an opposite direction.
(Another group of ratmans?)
(Huh. I should be able to somehow take them on and even if my undead dies, I can just make some new ones from their corpse. They are already near my trap, so let's do it.)
Before ClownFrog could give out a command, he saw two ratmans shouting at each other before one of them nodded their head and turned back with rest of his group and the other group it just encountered.
"…."
"Did they just communicated?"
(I was bit shocked on the first day when NPCs were talking with me or between themselves, however I kind of got used to it, even though it still kind of feels weird and unreal to me.)
(But a monsters? I didn't though of that. However, now that I think about, there was a possibility of monster being intelligent and all, since they created realistic NPCs.)
(Now this is interesting. So far, I only fought things like rabbits or furballs and they just attacked like animals, so I didn't though much of it.)
(Anyway, are they going somewhere? I don't know if they were speaking or just giving signals or something else, but the other ratman nodded his head in agreement or something.)
"…."
"Might be worth following them."
(But I can't bring those skeletons with me, they would probably notice them, it's better not to take chances.) – though ClownFrog while making his undead disappear or return back to the [Undead Page].
ClownFrog beginned stalking the group of ratmans while trying not get spotted.
(…. I've never been in this area. We walked quiet far from the area where ratmans are usually found as well.)
(Anyway, I think they are walking towards the bottom of the cliff. Is there something there?)
ClownFrog continue fallowing the group of ratmans until they arrived right at the bottom of the cliff.
(This is the cave?) – though ClownFrog while looking behind the tree.
(The group I was fallowing just entered it and there is pair of ratmans standing guard near it.)
(By any chance, is this their base or something.)
"Now this is interesting find."
(In games things like bandits den or dungeons had rewards and other stuff inside of them. By any chance there is something in there I can take? Might be worth going in.)
"But how many rat monsters are inside?"
(My strong point right now is numbers. I overwhelm my opponents with numbers even if they are stronger that my skeleton servants.)
(But the problem is, how much ratmans are inside? If there is equal or more than my skeletons, then they will obviously lose. I can obviously create new one during a fight when some die, but it's not like I have infinity mana. On top of that, I don't know what are the insides of the cave. If it narrow then I will have problem with using all skeletons at the same time.)
"There is a good chance that I will end up dying if I go in there. I need to prepare. And that's pretty much means leveling up and leveling up skills. Just like before."
(And maybe getting a new skill will be a good idea.) -though ClownFrog while opening a skill list.
[Necro Shot] [???] [???] [???] [???] [???]
"The only skill I can pick right now from the necromancer skill tree is just [Necro Shot], an attack skill. Other skills are still locked down and probably will be until I get some of my skills to a level 10 or something."
"There is option that there will be some new skills when the [Basic Necromancy] gets to level 10."
"I've found out yesterday how to level up this skill."
Basically, to level up the [Basic Necromancy] I need to level up any skills from the necromancer skill need to have combined level of 5.
For example:
Skill A has level 2.
Skill B has level 2.
Skill C has level 1.
2 + 2 + 1 = 5.
Skill [Basic Necromancy] has leveled up.
(This doesn't include the [Undead Page] though by the looks of things, probably because that skill is linked directly to the [Basic Necromancy].)
(Anyway, to get [Basic Necromancy] to the level 10, I need to have total of 45 levels from my necromancers skills.)
(Right now, I have 5 skills if we exclude the [Basic Necromancy] and [Undead Page].)
(Honestly leveling up them has been going more smoothly today and I've manage to level up some of them already.)
(Then should I get the [Necro Shot]? It could help up with getting [Basic Necromancy] to level 10 faster.)
"…. Okay, screw it. I will take it."
[You have learned skill: [Necro Shot] level 1.]
"More attack skill cannot hurt."
"But what now?"
"I've bought all skills from the necromancer skill tree available."
"Then should I get some skills from a different skill trees until more skills gets unlocked?"
"…. Mmmmmmm.... Nope. Let's save them up. There is a chance some good skill pop up but they are bit pricy."
"Anyway, lets continue hunting and level up those skills as much as possible, so I can take on whatever is inside of that cave."
ClownFrog continue hunting for many hours, leveling up in the process both his own level and level of his skills.
[ClownFrog]
[Level: 13]
[Basic Necromancy]-[LVL6] [Undead Page]-[LVL6] [Create: Lesser Skeleton Servant] – [Level 6] [Skeleton Servant – Basic Upgrade]-[LVL6] [Skeleton Servant – Bone Weapon]-[LVL6] [Create: Lesser Skeleton]-[LVL4] [Bone Darts]-[LVL7] [Necro Shot]-[LVL4].]
"Only 3 levels, but at least I manage to level the heck out of them."
"Honestly, I was expecting to level up bit more. But I guess this will do."
"…Its already quiet late huh." – said ClownFrog while looking at the current time in the real world.
"I guess I should log off and..."
"…."
"…. Hm…. No. Lets take them on today." – said ClownFrog to himself.
(The ratmans levels were between 8-10.)
(Right now, I have higher level advance that them and my skills leveled up a lot.)
"Let's get back to the town and prepare."
[Sometime later.]
As of right now, a night was taking place.
Two ratmans stood guard right in front of the cave.
While two ratmans were standing guards, one noticed something glowing in the distance, before a glowing green sphere hit it in the head.
The other ratman noticed instantly noticed that and tried taking a horn from his shoulder, but before he could reach it, multiple arrows flew straight towards him and hit him.
The ratman that got hit with the magic attack before got back up, but as soon as he did, he saw skeleton servants surrounding both of the ratmans, before getting killed by them.
"…." – ClownFrog got out of bushes and looked around.
"Clear."
After looking around and not spotting anything, ClownFrog walked toward the cave entrance and after getting near it, a system winddown popped up.
"?"
"…. Well then, time to raise a hell."
Skeletons servants as well as skeleton ratmans begin rushing straight into the cave.
[You have entered dungeon: Ratman Hidden Base].]
"?!"
"Stop."
All of the skeletons instantly stopped moving.
(What is this? Dungeon? There are dungeon in this game?)
(But how does that influences things? How dungeons works in this game?)
"…."
"The only way to find out is to beat it."
"Move out."
The skeleton beginned moving once again.
Some of the ratmans that were in the cave noticed a sound of many footsteps coming from the direction where the cave entrance located and moment later they saw a torches lights from afar approaching them.
The ratmans quickly gathered up upon hearing disruption in the night and before long, the all-out brawl between ratmans and undead beginned.
On both sides, many undead as well as ratmans were getting killed. However whenever skeleton servant was destroyed, a new one was born.
[Mana Mushroom Potion]
[Restore 40 mana upon consumption.]
(Good. For now, things are somehow balance. As long as I continue making new undead, we will end up getting upper hand over them.) – though ClownFrog while drinking a potion.
Because of the continue supply of the fresh corpses, the new undeads were created over and over again, this resulted in slowly having ratmans being pushed more and more.
After realizing the grim situation, some of the ratmans run away, abandoning their breathers and that resulted in the finally break of the ratmans line, leading to the total genocide of the ratmans.
Many ratmans tried fighting back, but their attempts were in futile.
[Level Up. You became level 14.]
"Fuck…. We manage to kill all, but there was too much."
(I was expecting them to be a lot, but not this many!)
(Because of their numbers, many of my skeletons servants and skeleton were killed over and over again. Because of all that, I ended up using way too freaking mana potions that I imagined.)
(If I didn't bringed those potions with me, I would be probably a toast.)
(On top of that, I was lucky. I though those narrow corridors would screw me over, but they ended up saving me.)
(If I were to take all of these ratmans head on, I would probably get killed.)
"And I thought that because I had higher level it would be easier."
"I'm dumb like hell, aren't I?"
(Anyway, some of the ratmans run off into the deeper parts.)
"…"
"Well, I was planning on heading there anyway."
"Let's go."
The group of undeads lead by ClownFrog beginned marching through the cave tunnel while killing any ratmans they encounters along the way.
(Even though they are lower level than me, the amount of the EXP I'm getting is a lot. Maybe I will be able to level up more.)
"…."
"?"
While continue walking through the tunnels, ClownFrog noticed a light coming from the path ahead.
(Light source?)
"…"
(Something is off. There wasn't even a single light or a torch around in this place. I had to make skeleton ratmans carry torches.)
(There is definitely something going on there.)
ClownFrog slowly approached the source of the light while being surrounded by undead creatures.
Moment later, ClownFrog arrived to the source of the light, he found him self inside of the wide room.
"?!"
The entire room itself, was filled with many corpse of the ratmans as well as many bones. The room it self was lighten up by many different torches with blue flames, hanging on the room walls.
While the room it self looked grim and unknow, the main thing that catched ClownFrog attention was the thing on the other side of the room.
On the opposite site there was a throne made out of the bones and on it, a ratman wearing ropes was sitting while holding another ratman in his hand.
The held ratman tried to break free, but moments later ratman neck was snapped and tossed aside.
After the ratman corpse fallen on the ground, the ratman sitting on the throne took his staff and tabbed the ground with it. When that happened, the magic circle appeared beneath the ratman corpse and moments, the ratman was turned into skeleton undead version of it.
