Itachi held his breath as he stared at the cultivation pills in his grasp. Mid-grade Qi condensation pills, fifteen in total.
"I won't consume all fifteen at once; it could rupture my dantian. Perhaps two to start, then I can adjust accordingly," he mused.
Settling on his mat, Itachi steadied his breathing. He placed two pills in his mouth and waited.
BOOM!
His head spun as a fiery tempest ignited within him. His blood vessels and meridians expanded, threatening to burst any moment.
Struggling to maintain his composure, Itachi focused on directing the newly acquired Spiritual qi into his dantian. Sweat trickled down his forehead, his face contorted in pain.
Time slipped away, and Itachi finally managed to quell the raging energy. Glancing around, he noticed the moon hanging in the sky. He had been in this state for six hours.
To Itachi, it felt like mere minutes. Cultivators often lost track of time during their sessions. Some, at higher realms, could remain in a session for weeks or even months.
Rising to his feet, Itachi checked the system interface.
{6 days and 12 hours remain till host dies. Please reach the foundation establishment realm.}
A sigh escaped his lips as he scanned the numbers. He checked his cultivation and found he was on the verge of reaching the minor realm - High stage Qi Condensation.
A single session had propelled him from mid-grade to almost high-grade.
This was unprecedented. Such a level of talent would put the holy sons and holy maidens of large kingdoms and sects to shame!
Noticing the late hour, Itachi realized he needed to rise early for his daily routine at the Ancestral book pavilion.
"I wish I could cultivate while working. I'll be wasting precious cultivation time at the pavilion... But it must be done. I'll leave this sect once I enter my new realm. For now, I must abide by the rules."
With that, Itachi showered, changed, and went to bed.

Morning arrived, and Itachi left his dorm. He held his medallion and entered the pavilion.
He searched for Master Tie but found no sign of him. Instead, a note lay on the table at the entrance.
"Lin Feng, I have some errands to run. I won't be available today."
Itachi put the note away and began his daily routine.
As he worked, he noticed a few disciples wandering around.
A girl with long, flowing hair and sharp eyebrows was engrossed in a book. A sharp long-sword hung on her back, its edge gleaming in the dimly lit library.
Itachi admired the sword, thinking, "Good sword."
Sensing his gaze, the girl looked up at him, curiosity flickering in her eyes.
Itachi quickly averted his gaze and continued his task, ignoring the eyes fixed on him.
Just as he was about to pick up another book to catalogue, he sensed a shadow beside him. It was the girl from earlier.
'Why is she following me?'
Before he could ponder further, a feminine voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Are you new here? I saw you looking at my sword. I haven't seen you here before. What class do you belong to?"
Itachi finally responded, his face expressionless. "I work here, I just started yesterday."
The girl's interest was piqued. The people who worked here were not ordinary. Each floor had one worker responsible for the manuals and books.
Intrigued, the girl probed further. "What's your cultivation realm? Master Tie doesn't just let anyone work here. You look really young, yet you secured a position here."
Itachi looked at the girl, who looked a little older than her in confusion. He understood his luck in being recommended here by the instructor. Even some Inner sect disciples coveted the cultivation resources provided for this position.
"I don't have a spiritual route, my cultivation is void. Sorry, but I have to continue my work. Please excuse me."
The girl hid her disappointment well. She didn't understand how a talentless disciple could work here but didn't dare question Master Tie's arrangements.
As Itachi bowed to excuse himself, he examined the girl's stats. It had become a habit for him to display the stats of others. As far as he was concerned, he needed to know the sect's general power.
Information was power.
{ Name: Wei Yu
Occupation: Inner-Sect disciple of the Nether sect.
Realm: Peak Qi condensation. Note: Wei Yu is using a treasure to hide her current cultivation realm. Her actual realm is as follows: Half-Step foundation establishment.
Background: 4th princess of the Jiang royal family. She ran away from home four years ago after being forcefully engaged to the holy son of a major sect. }
Itachi furrowed his brows at this information. He was slightly surprised at what he was reading. A princess of a royal family… And not a simple one at that. The Jiang royal family was a major kingdom in the neighboring region! They were extremely powerful and had many sects and clans under them.
Not to mention she was a half-step foundation establishment cultivator! She was extremely close to reaching the core-formation realm.
This was already higher than some elders in the sect! The fact that she was hiding her cultivation was suspicious within itself.
Itachi mentally noted these details. The girl had already returned to her reading.
'Her talent seems to be extremely good, judging by her age her talent was probably top-notch even within the Jiang Family. But why did she join a sect that isn't even qualified to wash the Jiang family's shoes? What is she thinking…' Itachi pondered.
Pushing these thoughts aside, he was about to resume his task when he noticed a few more disciples approaching Wei Yu. They exuded arrogance and dominance, clearly Inner-Sect disciples.
One of them, presumably the leader, had short blond hair and radiated confidence. He approached Wei Yu and interrupted her reading.
"Wei Yu, are you still going to continue ignoring me?" the disciple said.
Wei Yu looked at the disciple in annoyance, disturbed by his intrusion. She attempted to walk away, book in hand, but was stopped by the disciple's lackeys.
The atmosphere instantly turned tense.
"Mu Chen, tell your dogs to move. Otherwise, don't blame me for being rude!" Wei Yu glanced at Mu Chen, the disciple who had initially spoken to her. She slowly released some of her peak Qi-Condensation power, threatening to attack Mu Chen and his lackeys at any moment.
Mu Chen smiled mischievously, not moving an inch. He was clearly enjoying the scene.
"What can you achieve with your peak Qi-Condensation realm power? If I wanted to, I could snap you with a single hand. Can't you even have a conversation with me? Am I that detestable…?"
Mu Chen approached Wei Yu, getting closer to her.
"Mu Chen, I told you I'm not interested in you. Get the f*ck away from me."
Mu Chen was about to grab Wei Yu by the arm but was suddenly stopped by a hand.
He glanced at the unfamiliar hand and then followed it to the individual.
Unnoticed by anyone, Itachi had already appeared in front of Mu Chen, preventing him from further invading Wei Yi's space.
Mu Chen furrowed his brows and analyzed Itachi, slightly annoyed by his intrusion.
"Who are you? You have five seconds to move out of my way," Mu Chen sharply said, unafraid to add a threat at the end of his sentence.
"I am responsible for the first floor of the pavilion. If you have any problems, please take them outside. It is forbidden to cause a scene in the pavilion. If you have any objections, take it up with Master Tie," Itachi responded calmly.
Mu Chen squinted his eyes at this young kid, clearly he was new. Without a second thought, he probed Itachi's cultivation.
After a few seconds, the smile on his face turned into ridicule. The kid before him was a bottom feeder, even worse than trash. Not an ounce of cultivation!
"Utter trash, I feel disgusted even being in the same room as you. Has Master Tie lost his mind for letting you in here? I don't care who you are, I am not about to take orders from scum!" Mu Chen spat out.
Itachi felt a headache coming on. Initially, he was going to ignore what was happening but if they started fighting and the books got damaged, Master Tie would hold him responsible.
"Sigh…" Itachi exhaled as he thought about what to do next.
