Fu Yan froze upon hearing Hirvan's confession. Like pebbles dropping into still water, the words settled in, causing his face to pale. His fingers twitched as he swallowed hard, trying to gather his thoughts.
"What? Possessed? Did you watch too much drama?"
His voice trembled with disbelief, but there was a hint of uncertainty in it.
The absurdity of the claim clashed with recalling the sudden change in the young man's behaviour, which now seemed to make sense in a different way.
