You need oxygen to produce fire, but yes the earth's core would be a heat source. Google says it would literally take billions of years to cool down. You'd still need to make regular trips to the surface to retrieve the frozen oxygen if you didn't have some sort of oxygen producing mold or fungus down there with you.
