It’s a very interesting premise and I look forward to the future developments. And if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t bother reviewing. That being said, there’s a glaring issue that really brings this novel down… there’s basically no character descriptions and this includes Christine aka the MC. In fact let me go ahead and list all the things we know about Christine: - They’re female. - They presumably have fox ears and fox tail(s), though this is never explicitly stated in the actual text. - They were called beautiful once in chapter 9 or 10. That’s the extent of Christine’s character description. Hair color, eye color, height, figure, all of these things are left to the imagination, I guess. It’s somehow even worse for the NPCs who are basically just names without descriptions and have no memorable quirks. Not that Christine has any memorable quirks either, nor has she or any of the NPCs had the opportunity to show them it they did. No time was spent assessing the internal situation or exploring the Solstice Empire before the story began focusing exclusively on external matters. That would have been the best time to write some fun NPCs.
Why does everyone always think this? If this were me I’d be like “Earth? Who’s Earth?”
I’m surprised Lucia still sees herself as ‘inhabiting the real Lucia’s body.’ She seemed to have made it her own at this point and has even used it to have children.
She should go to their home world, announce their extinction & crimes, and then unleash the Flood from Halo onto them.
Probably one of my favorite chapters, though some obvious questions were missing. Like questions about the old multiverse, questions about where they are now if not in their old multiverse, and most glaring would be Emelia’s origins/race. People would be more concerned about their safety and lives than entertainment. Also, I’m surprised no alien ships have shown up in the Sol system yet. A new star suddenly appearing in an already developed part of the galaxy would definitely leave star cartographers scratching their heads.
Does Emelia not consider androids to be people?
Android: “What is my purpose?” Emelia: “You work in the sexifier district 9999.”
MC should definitely be asking questions about this the moment they read it.
