It would. Knowing the reason for his immunity to said gas makes it really easy to counter, heroes such as Vlad who controls blood will find extracting his blood for a mass produced cure something doable. It would be cool if he just said he created specific nose plugs that cancelled out the gas. Or he had a specific medicine that counteracted the laughing gas effects for a while.
