Don't expect consistent uploads from me. My focus gets shifted very frequently, so I may not work on a story for weeks or pump out 4 chapters a day depending on what catches my interest at that time.

again...there is more to fiction than just power fantasy.
See, she gets it
er, that's exactly the reason you'd want to add a new member early though. no one has had time to get to know each other yet meaning they don't have anything to catch up on and can be integrated more smoothly.
Honestly she could just say it's super power puberty. Not even entirely inaccurate.
Just realized but this is definitely unlawful imprisonment. you can't just pick someone up and throw them in prison with no trial or even basic processing.
see, i personally didn't really see it that way, especially after she made her stance clear that she wouldn't let them just attack him on their word alone. I saw it more like when a parent says something like, "Oh, im sure this knucklehead did something too," when another parent has their kid apologize. Something they may or may not actually believe depending on the kid, but really their just saying something to be polite and downplay the situation so it doesn't get serious if it really shouldn't be. i can see how that might be taken as "bending over backward," but I'd really only think that if Reveria was the one that tried to shift the blame. like i said, it was more a "you stepped back, so I'll step back" rather than "you stopped moving, so I'll step back" or "you stepped back but im staying here"
spends it on what exactly? you're probably thinking of overexaggerated fanfic. Hestia never really spends any of bells money aside from food expenses, which she also contributes to with her own two jobs she works. Up until everyone else talked her down, she was adamant to pay off the knife debt alone, which would have taken hundreds of years on her own. Everything else she actually owns she received as gifts from someone. I don't think she ever buys a single thing for herself in the entire story.
Eh, I suppose you could look at it that way. Personally I wouldn't really call Artisan familia and other types that don't really focus on the dungeon like Ganesha, Demeter or Ishtar high ranking in the way I think you mean. Despite the fact that those four are the largest familia in Orario. Their recruitment criteria encompass a bit more than just having talent.
You know, I'm surprised no one has questioned what titles are in the first place. If this place is real, how is the "game" giving them percent boosts like this.
I get your point, but I really would like to see how it goes over when you try to explain that to a bunch of girls that just got stripped against their will.
can you get more bias? She "literally failed to recruit familia members before bell" because she just descended from heaven only six months prior and was only actively searching for 3 months. Pretty much every other god has been in her position when they first arrived. They don't show up with money or stuff to sell right off the bat. When they arrive they are essentially homeless and out on the street. Most gods quite literally can't do anything in the moral world without their familia, so until they get their first familia member, most of them are either living off the good will of a friend or out working for someone else. Just like Hestia was. The reason she failed to recruit anyone is very simply because not many people want to be the first person in a familia. As I said, gods rely on their children to start really making a living, so by being the first and only person in a familia, you essentially start on hard mode. Not something most people are willing to do. That's not incompetence on her part, that's just the reality of a job like adventuring. As for what she does for bell. I mean she literally went into personal debt to get him a knife that will grow with him for the rest of his life for 200 million. I debt that she expected to take over a hundred years to pay off on her own. She works 2 jobs to not only pay off the debt but also contribute to the daily expenses in the familia. You won't find many gods willing to do that. Heck, most gods don't work a day in their life after their familia start exploring the dungeon so she already has a point over most of them. The only gods that really work themselves are the ones with domains that would allow them to make money, like Hephaestus and Miach. Loki for sure doesn't work aside from maybe managing familia expenses and she more than likely pushes that off to her executives. And you also tried to play off having his falna updated as if it were a small thing, when not only is it literally the only thing allowing him to progress in the dungeon, but on top of that there are some gods that don't even do that for their familia. Lili hadn't had her status updated for I believe either 3 or 6 months until she finally joined the hestia familia. Some other familia, like Loki and Freya, have so many members that their god has a hard time getting to all of them so they may go weeks or months without an update. The fact that she's readily available whenever he needs her is another plus for her. There's also the spoiler stuff she does in the novels that I won't mention, but I will say what she did quite literally saved the entire city. So no, incompetence doesn't look like it's on that list. If you find her possessiveness annoying, that's another matter entirely.
Sure, if you can give actual proof of incompetence that isn't tied to not having the money she had no way to obtain before bell joined her.
I just hope you keep things a bit more grounded this time. The power creep in the last one really killed the vibe
Think I'm going to lose it if I see the word Tapestry again
none of this makes sense. It would much more likely for them to try and recruit her now that she doesn't have a sect. She needs resources to progress and they get a once in a lifetime talent that will bring them prestige. for everyone to target someone from a 4th grade sect like this is just an extreme waste of time when they don't actually know anything about her. I could believe it if they thought she was responsible for killing everyone that attacked the sect but as it stands they really don't have a reason to target her this hard.
That doesn't make much sense. Everyone who came to attack her should have died in the explosion so no one should know if she survived or not. Heck, no one should even know what she looks like since she never went out or spoke with anyone.
The word repetition is really making this hard to get through. Words like Tapestry being used over and over again become impossible not to notice because they are words that aren't used very often in the first place. Flowery speech is nice but there needs to be moderation.
meh, personally, I think he would have been fine without it. he does get another chance to get it and takes it by the end of his demon slayer run and even better than this time it actually came with the talent and longer experience, but his other skills have pretty much already outgrown anything he could make with the initial experience. like I said, nichirin swords are cool, but they are still just mundane swords for the most part. the techniques used are just baseline human. yes, it's a good foundation, but it's not something he couldn't get without the simulation. without the purple talent included, it's pretty worthless since he doesn't/didn't need anything better than something someone else could give him at the time. I think you just saw hephaestus familia and assumed smithing would be more important in this story than it actually is. as I previously said, a great weapon is worthless in the hands of someone who can't use it.
yeah, that's definitely expecting too much, considering those are skills he would need others to help with, and he was only focused on training in this run. heck, i don't even think he knew muzan could track him in this run. if he was under the impression that muzan just randomly showed up on the mountain one day, he'd have no reason to do anything more than just move. he didn't have much of a relationship with the demon slayers this time either, so hiding with them wasn't really an option either and even then doing so would just get all of them killed since they aren't even ready to take on most of the upper ranks.
It's actually one of the most illogical actions you can take tbh. planning for something like betrayal right from the start even when the other party quite literally has no reason to do so is just called paranoia, which can be healthy in small doses, sure. don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with accounting for the worst case scenario. you can certainly weigh pros and cons, but what you're talking about it only looking at the cons and then making your decision without ever considering the pros. ultimately, you lack trust. it might sound logical to say you shouldn't trust anyone or whatever, but that's how you quickly find yourself overwhelmed without any allies and people more willing to betray you in the first place. ask yourself this, who are you more willing to stab in the back, your friend or some guy you barely know that only thinks about himself.
