Dog

Saira's body hit the ground brutally. Her head fell a few feet away as it bounced a few times. There was still a surprised expression on her face. Her green pupils somehow seemed hollow and lifeless.

A dog with fiery red fur bent its canine head as it sniffed her body. The claws on its foot retracted.As it opened its mouth--obviously about to enjoy its meal-- the canine felt an instinctive sense of fear.

It turned its head as it growled uneasily. What met its sight was a green skinned 'human' rushing towards it.

The 'human' provoked fear in the four-legged beast. Aurav gritted his teeth as he rushed towards the dog.

"YOU PIECE OF $HIT!"

"I'LL KILL YOU!!"

He was going to kill it no matter what. The blatant provocation triggered the dog. It barked as it charged towards Aurav. Aurav grinned as he saw this. This was exactly what he wanted to see.

The dog barked as it jumped up going for his head. Aurav bent his body as he tackled it. The dog bit his shoulder tearing out a chunk of flesh. Aurav was unaffected by this.

Regeneration Skill kicked in rapidly trying to heal his body.

The dog was struggling fiercely as it was pinned underneath Aurav. This was a golden opportunity. The boy wasn't letting it squirm away.

Aurav grunted as he grabbed its neck. His nails pierced deep into its neck. He wasn't sure if they would infect the dog turning it into a zombie but it was inconsequential either way. It had to die.

The dog's claws were moving around desperately. Chunks of flesh were being ripped out from his back.

Aurav grunted as he took a bite into its neck. His teeth piercing the flesh. Its blood filled his mouth. He ripped out a chunk of its flesh spitting it away and taking a bite again and again and AGAIN.

He kept on biting it for twelve times. Suddenly,the dog growled desperately as it rolled sideways.

Aurav was taken by surprise as he lost his balance. The dog was on top of him now. Its claws piercing his arms. Blood gushed out of its neck like a fountain. Despite the severe injuries it was still alive.

'What do I do!?'

'What do I do!?'

'What do I do!?'

'The Subordinates!!'

Aurav commanded his zombies to kill this dog. They were only a few metres away from him. He had been blinded by his rage previously leading him to disregard them completely.

The zombies seeing the dog rushed over passionately. They drooled as they ran towards the dog desperately.

Unfortunately,the dog wasn't going to stand there waiting and Aurav was still pinned underneath it. Ironically,it took a bite out of Aurav's neck. How the tables have turned.

Unlike, Aurav the dog's mouth was huge. It teared off half of his neck. It teared off his cartilage and trachea.His neck bone was faintly visible.

This injury would definitely be fatal to humans but it was nothing to zombies and not considering the fact that it was afflicted to Aurav who possessed the Regeneration Skill.

As the dog bent down once again it was interrupted. The subordinates had come to the rescue. They growled as they opened their mouths hungrily tearing out chunks of flesh.

The dog barked as it bit and clawed them desperately. Despite,its struggle it was suppressed. Previously,it was a one on one with Aurav but now there were over two hundred desperate zombies trying to satiate their endless hunger.

The dog was pushed off from Aurav in a few moments. Thankfully,the Zombies avoided stepping on him.Perhaps,it was due to him being their leader.

The hungry subordinates teared out chunks of flesh barely chewing them before swallowing. Crimson blood was flowing out of its wounds.

The dog growled and barked desperately as it flung the hungry zombies away using its claws and it was repeatedly biting them again and again despite the blood gushing out of its throat.

Soon enough it started to lose its balance. The massive amount of blood loss was only a factor of its symptoms. Instead,it was the various injuries on its legs that contributed more.

Aurav blinked his eyes as he looked at his subordinates. He could only see their backs and hear the muffled growls of the dog.

As the zombies teared out the dog's flesh and drank its blood a flash of desperation flashed in the canines eyes.

It stood stably for a few moments despite the zombies and howled.

"AWOOOO..."

As it howled the fiery red colour of its fur was disappearing. Yes,disappearing as if it was never there.

The crimson red pupils of it dilated as the crimson colour was being drained slowly. It opened its mouth wide. There were fiery red flickers of flame in its mouth casting an ominous shadow...
