Beginning of the end

A cop named John walter lived with his beautiful family in chicago. He has a 12 year old son and a gorgeous looking wife named Jenifer. His son name was Dominic and he wishes to be like his father. He wanted to be a cop someday in the future. John was known for his courage and was very much respected among his colleagues. One day he went to catch some drug dealers and it was the moment when everything went wrong for him. He was shot by one of the criminals and was rushed to the hospital by the assistance of the fellow cops. His condition was very critical and everyone thought the he was going to die but somehow he survived it. But when he woke up there was nobody around him. He shouted but no one replied. He went to look what was happening and found some dead bodies covered with blood and were torn apart. He rushed in panic and went outside the hospital he found more dead bodies. He didn't quite get it there was carnage all around him vehicles and properties were destroyed and there was blood everywhere. He didn't knew that he was in the comma for 3 months. He started searching for his family but never found them. A man saw him walking around and struggling to stand and provided him with food and roof and explained everything that has happened in the past few weeks. He told him that an epidemic is spreading all over the world which is killing everyone and then bring the dead back to life as a monsters without any memories but to kill and infect the others. It started from the new york city but has now reached almost everywhere. It is the sign of an apocalypse.
