Chapter Sixteen

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

It has been a month since I had my run in with Scarlett; I awoke to four missed calls late evening to Mr Grim again. I grimaced. Did he think I was his fucking lap dog now?

‘What?’. I dialled and snapped down the phone.

‘I rang to tell you my son is getting married, so it would be best if you stayed away’. He muttered happily.

I gasped in shock. Wow.. I smiled slightly.

At least Diego had moved on from his apparent ‘love’ so fast.

I hung up on his father and then decided to go for a discreet walk.

Later that evening I decided to head to Huntz to grab a few drinks.

I could not help but notice shouting outside the Bar; somebody was likely fighting a group of thugs outside.. but that was not my business.. my business here was to drink. I chuckled slightly to myself.

The Barmaid grimaced at me, giving me a look of sheer disappointment.

‘Seriously?’. I grumbled, in a disapproving tone.
