Chapter Fifteen

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

I was awoken in the Hotel I rented last night, by somebody having loud sex; it echoed through the paper-thin walls.

I grimaced at my ever-so sensitive hearing; this was the only downside to being a Shapeshifter.. you could hear far too much.

At least someone was getting some, I scoffed sarcastically.

I looked down at my phone to see ten missed calls from Jackson. I shook my head angrily. How could I ever trust him after this? There was no part of me that could believe his lies.

Why I still cared for my siblings and their safety, when they did not care for me was truly beyond my comprehension.

It really bothered me deeply that they would order Jackson to distract me in such a way. Acting like you cared about somebody was one thing but telling someone that you loved them when it was obvious that you truly did not.. that was just plain wrong.

I groaned into my hands and sighed loudly, again.
