"I'm glad we're roommates," Marcus intoned.
"I wouldn't want to be with anyone else. The others looked awfully sad. I feel like we should make the best out of this experience. It's better than going into war." Ni admitted.
"I like the way you think," Auo declared.
" I do too, but I can't help but wonder why I'm here. Do you guys know why you're here?"
"No", Ni walked to the bottom bunk and plopped on the bed, "this bed is mine by the way."
Auo walked towards the window and opened the curtains. There was absolutely nothing to see, the window was painted black.
"Haa, how nice," disappointed he walked towards the other bottom bunk and sat down.
"I guess I have to sleep on the top bunk. Auo do you mind if I sleep on top of you?"
"Hmm? Yeah sure. The doctors told me that I was diagnosed with schizophrenia even though I don't have it."
"Really?'' Marcus climbed up the small ladder and sat crisscrossed on his bed, poking his head out on the side to see Ni and Auo, "they said I had dissociative identity disorder. Trust me, I would know whether or not I had many people living in my head and even then I would try and not disassociate."
" Apparently I have acute manic depressive disorder. I'm not even depressed and I'm damn well not manic so I don't know what the hell they're talking about."
Marcus laughed.
"It's really not funny. I really don't want to be here but I would be a hypocrite considering what I just said moments ago."
"Sorry, it's just… This entire charade is mental, not us and I can't help but laugh."
"Tch, whatever sorry, for raining on your party, I just-"
Ni punched the pillow he was sitting on and gave a string of unholy curses.
"Careful, if Becker comes back and sees that you'll have acute manic aggressive disorder," Auo warned.
Marcus laughed again, his cheek turning bright pink and his eyes crinkled.
"Sorry, sorry," he apologized.
"No worries, it was actually kind of funny."
They all laughed.
'Ni seems to be more on the reserved side. He has a strong personality and seems to care for others. Even when he got upset with Marcus he really wasn't upset with him, more upset about the situation and he even apologized for it later.'
'On the other hand Marcus is a bit more care-free and is a very open person. He likes to help others and has a good sense of humor. He also cares for others and apologized for his mistake… I've found a good set of people there's no one else I'd rather be roommates with.'
"I'm tired, I might take a nap," Ni covered his mouth and yawned.
"Phew. I'm glad it's not just me who's tired. Have you guys felt like you've been sleeping a lot lately?" Marcus questioned.
"Yeah, no lie there. It feels like I've slept my lifetime away yet I still can't stay awake." Ni grumbled.
"Hah, that rhymes, you can be a poet if you wanted to." Marcus expressed.
"Shut up."
Marcus chuckled.
'Do they know that they've been drugged and brought here? Can they still remember? If I ask there's two ways that it can go. 1- they can agree with me or 2- they think I'm actually crazy. I don't know them well enough to take that chance.'
"What do you guys think of Becker?" Auo asked, steering the conversation away.
'If I want to make an alliance with anyone it would be these two, they seem reasonable enough to know that something is fishy with this place. I'll be the ringleader and they can follow me. Ni even stated himself that he didn't want to be here, with that fueled desire I'm sure he'll want to join me. But I have to give it some time, get to know them first.
"Beck? He's a great guy! He's almost like a prince. Have you seen his teeth? They are sparkling white."
"Ew, stop gushing over that man." Ni directed.
"I'm not gushing, that's for girls, I'm admiring. Can't a man strive for white teeth?"
"Whatever, I'm going to catch some zzz's good night."
"I might as well take suit, I am kind of tired."
"Are you passively trying to tell me that you can't stay up any longer to entertain me? Sure, go ahead."
Marcus laughed.
He then laid down, the bed creaking at the slightest movements that he made.
During the next twenty or so minutes Auo got accustomed to the interface of the Message and Phone app.
'It's just like a regular phone,' he thought.
Time passed and soon came Carly speaking on the intercom.
"It is now time for Recreational therapy, Administrators please escort your patients to the Gym."
Ni woke with a stir while Marcus still lay in the bed, his rhythmic breathing sounding softly in the room.
"Marcus," Auo called, "Marcus!"
He still lay ,snoring slightly even.
"Let me try Auo."
With a fast movement Ni stepped on the outskirts of Auo's bed and leaned his head down to Marcus' ear.
"Marcus", he whispered.
He quickly moved his head back and at the same time Marcus jolted awake panting.
"W-who did that‽"
"I did, we've been calling you for the past two minutes," Ni responded.
Marcus blushed.
"Sorry, that just- never mind"
"Scared you? I won't do it again next time I'll just slap you instead."
Marcus laughed.
"Okay mates, I finally got your sheets and cover, just set it on your beds for now and let's go!"
