"So, what's the plan?" she asked, voice level, though she should have been terrified. "How are we going to stop him?"
Alex stopped and peered down at the ground, pondering her question. One thing was certain-he didn't have all the answers yet, but he knew for sure they couldn't just keep on wandering around aimlessly; they had to have some sort of strategy if they were to gain the strength they needed to defeat the Demon King.
"I don't know all the details yet," Alex admitted, his voice quiet but firm. "But I do know one thing-we need to get stronger. All of us. If we're going to stand a chance against him, we have to be more powerful than we've ever been."
Mara nodded thoughtfully, her eyes narrowing as she weighed their options. "Easier said than done," she pointed out. "We've been pushing ourselves just to make it thus far."
