Before Lithe could aim and fire the enemy knocked the gun out of his hand.
For a moment his ticked off inner golden wolf resurfaced and the attacker's eyes widened in surprise.
He probably just thought that Zen's true mate was just an omega; he was not expecting Lithe to possess shifter abilities.
So when he felt his arm being sliced open in a vulnerable position a look of bewilderment clouded his face.
Instinctively the enemy assumed a defensive posture in reaction to the shock of being nearly gutted like a fish.
He had been careless had Lithe swiped a little lower; it would have been his bowels spilling onto the ground.
Defensively, he shoved Lithe forward while taking a few steps backwards to put some distance between them and reassess the situation.
To Lithe it looked like some invisible force had pulled his attacker backwards out of range but his mind wasn't playing tricks on him, the enemy was just that fast.
