Attack of titans

The night before the last day of the Vytal Festival.

Ozpin suddenly called for Zack and Pyrrha as he needed to mention his decision concerning the Fall maiden to them.

Zack and Pyrrha made their way towards his office and as they arrived, they both saw Glynda, Ironwood, and Ozpin were already inside.

"I will be frank with the both of you Ms. Nikos and Mr. Fair, I have both called you here because of the Fall maiden," Ozpin spoke as soon as they came in.

"!!"

Pyrrha grew curious at that remark but as she looked in Zack's direction, she saw him widen his eyes at Ozpin.

"Gramps… are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?" Zack asked calmly in a serious tone.

"Yes, yes I am, I wish it didn't come to this but Amber can't stay longer being in stasis… I know I'm asking a lot… but we need someone and we have decided it to be Ms. Nikos," Ozpin answered while looking at the both of them.

"...Don't say that to me, say that to Pyrrha," Zack responded then looked at the confused Pyrrha.

"Wait? What? What are you all talking about?" Pyrrha asked impatiently.

"Of course, after all, all things aside, everything all comes down to Ms. Nikos' decision," Ozpin nodded at Zack then looked at Pyrrha.

"Ms. Nikos, do you believe in fairy tales?..." Ozpin asked first as he further explained what they were keeping away from the public.

While Ozpin was explaining to Pyrrha, Zack didn't leave her side while holding on to her hand, squeezing it once in a while to reassure her that her boyfriend/partner is with her.

Glynda nodded at Zack's support as she and Ironwood were silently waiting for Ozpin to finish and Pyrrha's decision.

After learning everything, Pyrrha was asked if she would be willing to be the new half of the Fall maiden but as she tried to take in everything she was starting to get confused and a little bit panicked in all of this. As Pyrrha was in deep thought, she felt her hand being squeezed reassuringly by her boyfriend, she instantly looked at Zack for guidance but all she saw was understanding, love, and trust.

She smiled slightly as she finally knew what Zack was trying to convey to her. 'Whatever I do and decide, he will always be there, supporting me' Pyrrha thought as she nodded at Zack then looked towards Ozpin's direction.

"I'll do it, sir," Pyrrha said while squeezing Zack's hand a little.

"...Thank you, Ms. Nikos," Ozpin stated as he bowed slightly to show his sincerity.

After that, they all went towards the secret basement under the school. All of them decided to do this now rather than later. Some would say Pyrrha was being irrational in doing this quickly at the get-go but as she heard and saw Amber's condition, she couldn't help wanting to lessen her pain than it already is.

She quickly went into the other pod and looked at her side and there she saw her partner/lover looking over her and not once did he leave her side since they came into the office.

She smiled at him then nodded at Ozpin's direction indicating that she was ready.

The procedure of the transference of the Fall maiden's power would take about two and half-hours with Zack never moving from his spot and silently looking over Pyrrha.

Glynda eventually went to Zack's side and hugged him reassuringly as she knows that right now, he was nervous and worried for Pyrrha. Zack smiled a little in appreciation at Glynda's gesture to calm him down as he watched Pyrrha.

As the transfer was completed, Pyrrha's pod opened with Zack and Glynda went over immediately. They all sighed in relief as it looked like the procedure was a success with Ozpin bowing at Pyrrha then at Amber's body in gratitude and respect.

After that, Pyrrha, Glynda, and Zack stayed there for the entire night with Pyrrha trying to control her new powers as well her boost on her Aura but as her Aura increased, her control went nuts. She temporarily overcomes this by overwhelming her control with power but they all agreed that no matter where they looked at it, it's a major Aura waste.

Even though Zack had an upcoming match the next day, he still stubbornly stuck with them and assisted them in any way. Both ladies were impressed by Zack, so they didn't continue pestering him to get some rest and just kissed him on his cheeks with a smile.

Morning came as soon daylight came, many audiences are already pouring in excitement as they can't wait for the finals.

Like the previous days, betting pools were overflowing especially with the biggest amount was the alias "ImmortalCoffee" followed by "PancakeFaction". Many thought that maybe whoever those guys are were definitely high because of their bets on Zack Fair of team ZPNR are almost triple the amount from the bet following them.

Meanwhile, as all got excited over this fight, Tyrian and Hazel were standing over an open Bullhead overlooking the arena while they were conversing with Arthur on a screen on their side.

"Heh, look at them, they all look like the ants they are! I can't wait to see them all running in terror later!!" Tyrian maniacally laughed.

"Calm down Tyrian, remember our priority, and above all else, try not to kill our target," Hazel commented at the side while crossing his arms over his chest.

"Hehehe no promises! I might just feel itchy when we finally meet again hahaha!!" Tyrian replied with a crazy gleam in his eyes.

"Watch yourself Tyrian, if something happens to our target it will be on your neck on the line when we come back to her Majesty," Arthur's voice rang out over the Bullhead.

"Grrrrrr….. I know, I know, but not before I do something he did to me, and also I hear that the bastard is also a lady killer, meaning he has many women at his side… I'll kill them all right in front of him then, hahaha!!" Tyrian said hysterically while Arthur on the screen and Hazel on the side were staring at their deranged companion but somehow, they felt this is their last time with Tyrian.

Hazel and Arthur grew cautious at that feeling then Arthur signaled Hazel with his eyes that in case of an unexpected as Hazel nodded back.

"Either case, I just confirmed with the leader of the White Fang, Adam Taurus, that the operation will start after the final fight, that's your cue on getting the target, Hazel will be the diversion, you will go and retrieve Cinder only and Tyrian will go for Zack while in the ongoing chaos later, understood?" Arthur instructed as he confirmed their plan.

"Yeah yeah! I hear you!" Tyrian replied in an arrogant fashion while Hazel just nodded at Arthur.

'What is up with this feeling… I feel like we're about to open Pandora's box or something with how heavy my nervousness is, this is really unusual as I only get this tense when Her Majesty is angry' Hazel thought as he looked on the arena with the start of the semi-finals.

The first match of the day was between Ruby Rose and Penny from Atlas as everyone in the arena screamed in excitement.

The two went forward while waving at everyone cheering for them with enthusiastic smiles on their faces.

Their fight lasted quite a while as it came down to a battle of attrition and Ruby fighting an android for that matter resulted in Penny winning over a fatigued Ruby. Despite Ruby using her semblance wisely in attacking and defending against Penny, her opponent could follow her movements and react accordingly in any situation. While Ruby, using her semblance, couldn't be hit by Penny easily, and just like that their fight lasted until Ruby's stamina ran out.

Everyone was excited over this fight as it shows that even though both looked like two innocent girls, they both know how to kick some ass.

After a quick break, the last fight in the semi-finals was underway with Zack and Sun walking and meeting at the center of the arena.

Zack and Sun looked at each other with Zack looking casual expression while Sun was focused on him.

"We finally met again Mr. Banana," Zack said as he grinned excitedly as he took out his Core blade from his back.

"That's right Captain! I won't back down this time easily, I'll finally defeat you and show my Velvet that his boyfriend is the BEST!!" Sun answered back while forgetting that they were on live television now so everyone heard what he just proclaimed in front of everyone.

In the audience.

*Whistle!!*

Everyone who heard him teased whoever that girl was but for those who know Velvet personally, they couldn't wipe their stupid big grins looking at the blushing red bunny Faunus at the side.

"Heh, gotta give it to you Vel, you do know how to pick them don't ya," Coco, who was beside her, couldn't resist to teased her teammate.

"P-p-please s-s-s-stop i-i-it" Velvet groaned out with her usual upright ears are down and her face is blushing red.

Back at the arena.

"Hah! I'll make sure you spend some quality time with your girlfriend... while she is nursing you after this fight!" Zack said as he got into his battle stance.

"Haaa! ...w-wait, that… that's actually not a bad idea," Sun hesitantly said as he contemplates his Velvet wearing a nurse's uniform while taking care of him.

Immediately Sun's face suddenly smiled in a creepy way while also blushing but before he could go any further with his fantasy the fight was officially started.

Sun immediately looked at Zack but before he could think of something Zack was already at his side. He immediately backed away in surprise as Zack sent him an ordinary vertical slash then he hurriedly blocked it with his weapon, a collapsible staff that separates into two pairs of nunchucks made of guns called Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang.

*Bam!*

Sun was pushed away by the force of Zack's slash but he was still able to stand his ground.

"Hey! I was in the middle of something earlier!!" Sun yelled out while pointing his finger at Zack.

"...Uh… you're welcome! your face earlier was getting creepy so for the sake of your girlfriend not seeing such a thing, I interrupted your little daydream!" Zack answered hesitantly at first but as his training on the art of Bullsh*t has come a long way, he found a way to turn it around.

"...Oh… t-thank you then," Sun replied as he bowed awkwardly as he scratched the back of his head.

"Mmm," Zack nodded seriously on the outside but on the inside 'Holy sh*t, I can't believe it he actually fell for that, it seemed my training with Pops really did come in handy'.

In reality, Zack got over-excited in starting the match so he didn't really pay any attention to Sun's expression at all.

"..."

The audience on the side heard everything and by now some of them could see a blushing rabbit Faunus who was now trembling and trying to cover her face with her hands.

"Well, enough of this, time to finally kick your butt once and for all!!" Sun recovered quickly as he got into his battle stance with his Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang at hand.

"Mmm, let's dance!" Zack said as he also readied his stance once again.

They both waited for a bit then they both charged each other and clashed at the center of the arena.

*BAM!* *tink* *tink* *tink*

They both continued their fight as all that could be heard was the sound of metal clashing.

Sun tried every move he could execute but Zack always parried it easily and he was just barely dodging Zack's strikes.

Sun noticed this as he knew he wouldn't be hitting Zack with any of this so he used the combination of guns in his attacking patterns.

Zack seeing this quickly took out his hollow blade from his back as well then continued parring Sun's shots.

*Tink* *Tink* *Tink* *Tink* *Tink*

Sun continued his assault but seeing that it was still ineffective he got an idea.

They both clashed one more time then Sun backed out for a bit then brought out his hands together like he was praying and used his semblance, Via Sun, allowing him to create and control glowing yellow clones of himself though he needs to remain still and concentrate while using it. He brought out two yellow shining clones and made them attack Zack at both sides.

Zack seeing this was surprised but he quickly noticed that Sun wasn't moving from his spot after using his semblance. At that remark, he immediately rationalized Sun's weakness while his yellow clones finally arrived at Zack's sides.

Sun's clone at the right sent a high kick towards his face while the other one on the left did a sweeping kick at his legs.

They both moved in sync so that any other opponent would be surprised for a second but not someone who was once a SOLDIER that is.

Zack immediately threw his blades on hand in the air as he moved his head slightly to dodge the clone's attack then moved forward slightly and punched it at its stomach making it leaned forward then he jumped slightly and kicked the other clone at its stomach as well.

As he kicked the clone, the other recovered slightly that it continued its attacks with a combination of punches and kicks but Zack easily dodged or countered it even with the other clone supporting it.

Both of his swords fell down further away from them as Zack saw fit that he wants to use his fists in this fight.

Zack, seeing that they were not backing down, ducked suddenly as both clones' attacks passed him he then jumped slightly and Superman punched the one in front of him while at the same time kicking back the other one behind him.

At that point, the clones dissipated as Sun crouched down in pain but he still remained standing and looked towards Zack fearlessly.

Zack, seeing Sun being like this, knew that his opponent felt his hits on himself but seeing him not giving up, he gotta respect that unlike those little bitc-guys he beat up way back then.

"*ugh* heh… is that all *Ugh*... you got?" Sun said as he placed one of his hands by his head trying to contain his mental strain after the damage his clones got.

"Hmm you got guts bud, time to finish this but don't worry as a fallen warrior, I'll make sure your girlfriend tends to you while wearing a nurse's outfit!" Zack said enthusiastically with Sun actually smiled in appreciation as they both ready their final clash.

"I was hoping not to use this deadly technique on you but as you proved to be a worthy adversary, you left me no choice," Zack said seriously as everyone watched in anticipation with Velvet growing worried for Sun.

Zack immediately disappeared and appeared at Sun's back while crouching down with his hands brought together and both of his index fingers pointed out.

Sun at first was confused but as he noticed Zack was crouched down behind him, he suddenly felt a foreboding feeling and tried to get away but he was already too late.

"Forbidden Technique: Thousand years of Death!!" Zack yelled out as he thrust his attack towards Sun's butt.

"BASSTAARDDD!!" Sun couldn't help screamed out as he felt the pain he never experienced and blacked out after he flew out a few feet from his previous spot.

Every muscle head on the audience couldn't help seriously look at the potential of that attack while everyone else twitched their eyes at the anti-climatic ending of their fight.

After that, the final fight was decided as Zack Fair against Penny scheduled a few hours of break after Zack's fight.

Everyone ate, relaxed, and fully enjoyed the Vytal Festival in these few hours but all couldn't help get excited over who will win the whole thing.

Meanwhile, everyone was enjoying their time, various secret White Fang members have already placed different bombs everywhere in the kingdom but what most didn't know except for Zack, Ozpin, and Glynda, is that every one of Zack's minions has been keeping watch over everything with Fang in its command.

Fang is sitting on the very top structure in Beacon looking at these humans. It already ordered for these bombs to be placed outside of the kingdom discreetly as possible.

Even though Fang already evolved into something more than a Grand Alpha, it can feel that its liege is still somewhat stronger than it but not once did betrayal to its liege come to mind. It did grow curious at its liege though, it knew that he was far stronger than any of these humans but it's liege still has no desire to control all of these weaklings under him instead he comes out of his way just to save and protect these said weaklings.

Fang knew that it may come out in a way that its liege is soft but make no mistake, every one of its liege's minions knew that he has another personality and this one is totally opposite of his usual way. It knew this personality only comes out when it's liege is angry at something and it knew if this personality ever took control again, blood would run in this kingdom until his usual personality comes back.

Fang didn't know why it was thinking about this but it felt that something is going to happen later and its liege will be the center of it.

After the break, the tournament proceeded to its last fight, the finals.

The arena was bustling and overflowing with excited audiences but unlike the other day, almost everyone was rooting for Penny. Even all of their friends, except Ren and Nora, who is cheering loudly for Zack.

Ren, being the calmest and almost nothing phasis him except for Nora, was quietly eating popcorn while his lover/partner is standing over on the side waving a ChocoPancake banner. She was wearing her usual outfit with her pointy black shades and she was the only one who's cheering for their team leader.

The Grimm posing squad is temporarily out of commission because of Fang calling them back and dealing with those bombs.

The reason why almost everyone is voting for Penny was her opponent, Zack, has someone who bet on him ten times the amount of anyone else and if Zack loses, everyone one of them will gain some easy money. As everyone noticed this, most of the bets on Zack were recalled quickly until only two names remained still placed on Zack's name. It was the alias "ImmortalCoffee" and "PancakeFaction" but instead of being discouraged, both of them actually increased their bet on Zack.

As for Ruby and the gang, they wanted to see Zack finally beaten once, and as they all could already imagine Zack's smug face when he wins while gloating in front of them.

And now, almost everyone can't wait to see Zack lose and they get their easy money.

Penny and Zack stood in front of each with serious expressions on their faces while everyone concentrated on these two as the battle had just been started but they both still didn't move but stare at each other.

"Penny, we have finally met once again!" Zack said in an arrogant tone while posing like a villain.

"Salutations! Wait I mean, your reign of terror has come finally to an end!" Penny exclaimed cheerfully at first but then acted in a stiff manner like she was reading a line.

"Ok ok, cut it out… *Sigh* it didn't work, it did not work," Zack groaned out as his head drooped a little in disappointment.

"Oh, oh! I'm sorry! Can I do it again?" Penny apologized while bowing a little then asked.

"No, it's alright… *Sigh* the moment's gone…" Zack said depressingly.

"Oh, okay, but now my second boyfriend Zack, it's time to fight, I'm combat ready!" Penny exclaims while going in her battle stance.

"*mumble* we even used three hours for rehearsing that *mumble* *Sigh* Oh, well… alright Penny! Let's do this!!" Zack said as he took out his Core blade from his back and charged at her.

"Mmm!" Penny nodded as she started deploying ten identical blades from her back and sent them towards Zack.

Zack, seeing this, grinned then he easily dodged and parried those blades away.

Zack continued his charge but he noticed something, Penny was still smiling then she moved her arms as thin metal wires controlled her blades to tie him up.

Zack immediately placed his Core blade in front of him as the wires wrapped around him.

Penny grinned at that as she used both of her arms and pulled and slammed down Zack repeatedly but after the third slam, while going for another one, her wires were suddenly cut into pieces as Zack took hold of his Hollow blade and dropped down casually.

"Man, that was some move you got there, got any more?" Zack grinned excitedly as he readied both of his Core and Hollow blades on his hands.

"Heh, I told you, I'm combat ready! Ha!!" Penny replied as she suddenly took flight then recalled all of her blades to form a rotating circle in front of her with green energy started building up in the center then she punched out her arms as the green energy became a giant laser coming at Zack grinning face.

Zack quickly assembled his Fusion sword (Core + Hollow blade) then gathered his Aura on it then slashed against the oncoming laser by producing a greenish-blue blade beam

*BOOOOOMMMM!!!*

A loud explosion was easily produced as clouds of dust covered the arena preventing anyone from watching it further.

*Tink* *Tink* *Tink* *Tink*

Even though they can't see, they all could hear metal clashing against each other. This continued even when the cloud of dust cleared out as they all saw Zack using his Fusion Sword against Penny's levitating blades.

Penny was further away from Zack as she started firing little lasers towards him while he was dealing simultaneously with her blades.

*Tink* *Tink* *Tink* *Tink*

Zack's every swing would send 2 to 3 blades away but after that Penn would capitalize on firing lasers at him and within that time, her other blades would come back and attack simultaneously while Penny recharges again. This went on for only three minutes until Zack was getting impatient.

Zack suddenly backflipped to dodge her blades and in one fluid motion, he spun his blade once then once he touched the ground he swung a vertical slash that produced a bigger blade beam from earlier towards Penny's blades that were following him.

*BOOOOOMM!!*

Another explosion rang out in the entire arena which produced a shockwave everywhere.

Penny steadies herself as she loses contact with most of her blades. She knew her chances in this fight just got significantly lower due to that attack

She quickly recalled her remaining blades which were only three, and have two of those blades connect with each other then she wielded her connected blades and the remaining one. She readied for Zack as she saw him walking towards her with his Fusion sword leaning on his shoulder while on the other hand, he wielded a serrated blade.

"Oh, sword fight huh, then let's go!" Zack grinned at her while she was wielding her blades.

"Mmm!!" Penny nodded seriously as she charged in as well and clashed with each other.

*Tink* *Tink* *Tink*

*BOOOOM!!* *BOOOOM!!* *BOOOOM!!*

As they were exchanging blows, a different set of explosions rang out in the entire kingdom.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked towards the rising smokes but then on the screen, a live video feed started broadcasting with armed White Fang members attacking the security guards and setting off explosions everywhere.

*DING!!* ATTENTION EVERYONE, PLEASE REMAIN CALM AND HEAD TOWARDS TO THE NEAREST SHELTER NEAR YOU AND FOR THOSE AT THE ARENA, HEAD TOWARDS TO BEACON ACADEMY. ALL HUNTSMEN AND HUNTRESSES DEAL WITH THE OPPOSING ATTACKERS WHILE THOSE IN-TRAINING, SECURE, AND PROTECT THE CIVILIANS. THIS IS NOT A DRILL *DING* Ozpin's voice suddenly rang out in the entire Vale.

"Kyaaaaa!!"

Most of the audience in the stand grew panic, worried, and stood up in anxiousness but before they could cause more chaos, teams of participants started calming them down and directed them towards the Beacon Academy.

Zack and Penny stopped fighting as they watched the video feed with the guards being decimated and White Fang firing upon everyone they came across with.

"Zack! Penny! We need to help them! They're getting killed out there!!" Ruby hurriedly said to them as she and her group made their way towards the both of them.

"Mmm, I know, that's why we're going over there right now," Zack nodded at all of them.

They all nodded at him but as they were about to go, they were stopped.

"Hey wait! We're coming too!" Coco's voice rang out as she and her whole team as well as Sun's team tagged along.

"Yeah! Can't have you guys hog all the attention, right!" Sun yelled out.

"Yeah!!" Everyone on team CFVY and team SSSN shouted in agreement.

"Heh, well alright, we don't have a moment to lose then, EVERYONE HOLD ON!" Zack smirked at them as he yelled out suddenly.

Zack's shadow expands and engulfs everyone as they suddenly shoot up in the air with a giant Nevermore, Bubba, underneath them.

Everyone who was not familiar with Bubba was surprised at the giant greenish-blue Nevermore that came out of Zack's shadow.

"Gramps, Penny, my team, team RWBY, team CFVY, and team SSSN are currently heading for at the north sector that's being attacked, let my minions assist those in the kingdom, broadcast the color of my minions all over so they won't attack them," Zack immediately called in Ozpin.

"Mmm, alright good luck wait! THIS IS BAD! ZACK, EVACUATE EVERYONE YOU COULD SEE AND FALLBACK IMMEDIATELY, THERE'S BEEN A NEW DEVELOPMENT, FIVE GRAND ALPHA'S ARE REPORTED HEADING TOWARDS VALE!" Ozpin hastily said as he looked at the footage of Ironwood's men firing everything they got on the approaching giants.

"!!"

That got everyone's attention as they still remember when one Grand Alpha comes, a giant horde is soon to follow them.
