I crossed one leg over the other, holding onto the top knee with my hands.

Ugh! I cannot believe that I forgot to pick up that pillow!

I mentally scolded myself. I forced a pleasant smile onto my face as I answered Minhyun.

“Oh, that? The wind is exceptionally strong today,” I lied. This was a lie that a lot of people would use. When something is or goes wrong, they tend to blame it on the wind.

“The wind?” He cheekily smiled, “Okay, we will blame it on the wind today. Do you mind if I lay down?”

“Not at all. Do whatever makes you feel more comfortable.”

“Thanks, Doc. I appreciate it,” he said as he laid back on the couch, supporting his head with one of his arms.

“So, Minhyun-ssi,” I started slowly, “How are you feeling today?”

“Today?” He repeated as he hummed, “Well, today has been a bit odd.”

“How so?” I asked as I clicked a pen, grabbing my clipboard.

“Well, Yunjun-Hyung would not even say ‘hi’ to me this morning. He skipped dance practice this morning, too; I’m worried about him. Then, just a little earlier, I saw him in the hallways and get this,” he paused to turn his head toward me, “the man looked like he was about to cry! I was confused because I do not remember the last time I saw Hyung cry. Well, actually, I do, but it has been a while.”

“He looked like he was going to cry?” I asked as I looked up from my clipboard.

“Yes! His eyes were red, but at the same time, they looked void of life. Something must have happened. I am not sure what, but I figure it must have hit him especially hard. I wish I could talk to him about what is bothering him like I used to, but he doesn’t want to talk about his feelings anymore. It’s so frustrating, Doc!”

“What have you tried, as far as trying to get him to talk to you?”

“Well, last night, I tried giving Hyung a back hug, but he pushed me away and slammed the door in my face. Before that, I have tried singing questions or casually tossing a question out while we are eating together,” he paused a moment before continuing, “Hey! That reminds me... Hyung hasn’t eaten for the last three days; at least I have not seen him eat anyways.”

One more problem to add to the mix... Jolly.

“I see. Well, I will have to see if I can get Yunjun to eat dinner later. What else is on your mind today, Minhyun-ssi?”

He suddenly sat up with a gasp as if he had just remembered something important. “DOC! You will never believe what I overheard last night between Hojeong-Hyung and Jeongseok-ah!”

I set my clipboard down on my lap. I looked at Minhyun in surprise at his sudden switch in his mood. “What did you hear?” I asked as I reached for my coffee mug on my desk.

“Jeongseok-ah told Hyung that there is a Noona that he likes! The youngest has a crush, can you believe it?!”

I stopped sipping my coffee, momentarily crossing the idea that he could be referring to me. However, I quickly dismissed the idea and continued to drink my coffee.

“Melody-nim, I think Jeongseok-ah likes you!”

I choked on my coffee.

Not this shit again...!
