“I wanted that book, you should back out when I was bidding,” Ivy said, approaching me with a pinched mouth after the auction ended.
“I’ll let you borrow that book,” I replied, with a chuckle sipping from a wine glass.
“No thanks…. I should have let you come alone without a date,” she replied.
“Well, I should thank you alot for this favour,” I said, with a smile.
“You seem different these days,” Ivy said, sipping from her wine glass.
“Different,” I curled my upper lip out.
“Or should I say you’re happy,” he mumbled.
“You’re not even addressing the guest in your party,” Mr. Lee said, approaching us.
“You’re here….. I was looking for you for so long,” I said, as soon as he joined me and Ivy.
“Why? On this beautiful night you are looking for an old man,” he said, while giggling and taking the sip of his drink.
“The thing is, tomorrow is my flight, and I’ve an urgent meeting to attend,” I replied.
