Chapter 143 - The Tea Party
"Your Highness, I heard you invited the Sage's apprentice today… Is she really as good as the old master?" The noble lady asked and slowly sipped on tea. They were seated in the beautiful greenhouse that provided the spring in the midst of winter outside, with the flowers blooming and exotic birds chirping.
It was one of the best places in the palace, and only influential royal family members could reserve it for their private gatherings. Princess Cordelia always boasted that her tea parties must be held in the finest kind of environment.
"I remember asking the Sage years ago to come and heal my husband, I even sent him the carriage and the chest of gold, yet he didn't even reply!" Another woman recalled regretfully. "But then, he helped the servant who broke his leg during the outing without asking anything back!"
