Dan, give Mr Maxwell a call immediately " Nicholas said without much thoughts

"Why? Are you going to confront him? No you shouldn't....."

"Why would he? That doesn't...."

"I'm proceeding with the marriage with Arry Maxwell " Nicholas blurted

"You are, doing what!" Dan exclaimed

"What, why are you surprised, isn't that what you were suggesting just now?" Nicholas glared at Dan

"Of course it is but...."

"Just do what I asked you!" Nicholas cut him off

"But I don't understand, you are clearly interested in miss Diana so why...." Dan wondered aloud

"Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! You're so slow witted Dan, big brother here is obviously trying to protect Diana, can't you see?" Bianca said in a teasing manner

"I understand but isn't that like making, miss Diana lose to her family? She'd be really sad to hear your decision " Dan said and went ahead to call Mr Maxwell

"You remember you're meeting up with grandfather and others this coming weekend, right? And you must bring home a fiance so that granpa can..."

"I know! I know! Can you just mind your business, eh" Nicholas said angrily and bianca grinned mischievously

"Sorry, you don't have to take it out on me though" she snorted at him

"You're not coming to see granpa this time too?" Nicholas asked

"Ohh please, I have exams to prepare for, I'd let you adults do your thing" bianca waved it off and thrusted to her room with her laptop

"Geez! Is she trying to act her age now?" Nicholas scoffed and sighed deeply

"Arry!" Mary called out impatiently

"Yes mom!" She replied with a shril from her room

"Aren't you done dressing up? We shouldn't be late to the introduction venue, the whole Nicholas family are going to be present, we can't leave a bad impression" Mary said and Arry came rushing out of her room while trying to put on the other heels hastily

"But mom, isn't it weird?" Arry asked as she finally wore her heels and walked down the stairs

"What is weird?" Mary raised eager brows as they both lunged to the garage where Mr Maxwell is waiting for them

"Nicholas Aston. I clearly saw him and Diana acting all intimate" Arry said worriedly

"Maybe they just had a one-off thing after Diana tried to seduce him, someone like Nicholas Aston wouldn't go for a single mother that doesn't have a future, I told you there's nothing to worry about. Mr Nicholas just came to his senses that's all" Mary said

"What took you guys so long? Is this a joke to you?" Mr Maxwell said hoarsely as they finally walked out of the house

"We're so sorry honey, you know Arry has to look presentable to the Nicholas family" Mary said and opened the door to the owner's seat while Arry got into the back seat

Mr Maxwell shook his head and hopped onto the driver's seat then drove off

"Diana, I think you should just give up on....."

"Put bobby on the phone immediately!" Diana cut Tina off abruptly

"What are you going....."

"Now!" Diana cut in harshly this time around

"Yes ma'am" Tina obliged and dialed Bobby's number

"Yes Ms. Diana?" Bobby started the phone conversation immediately he picked up

"Can you find any dirt on D Nicholas advert immediately?" Diana asked grimly

"Let's see, I'd get on it ASAP! I'm hanging up" bobby said and disconnected the line

"Wait, why is he suddenly speaking casually?" Diana thought aloud, a bit annoyed and Tina snickered

"Is it funny?" Diana glared at her and she pursed her lips

"No ma'am" Tina said "oh, bobby is calling!" She said and picked it up at the first ring

"Yes bobby?" Diana asked impatiently

"It seems like the BB product Nicholas adverts groups advertised recently is faulty..." Bobby said with a smirk

"Faulty? How?" Diana asked curiously

"Well, I might not be right, what if we spread a rumor for now? That is enough to cancel the introduction and postpone it..." Bobby suggested

"That's not a bad idea, can you do it?" Diana asked

"Of course! After creating a little rukus, we can dig up a problem for them and you'd emerge as the messiah, that way the Nicholas family might start becoming interested in you, what do you think?" Bobby asked with a grin

"Are you always this witty Mr. Bobby?" Diana teased

"There's a reason Mrs Rosa trusted her only daughter with me even after her death, don't worry I'd do all the dirty work, just give the orders" bobby said and Diana smiled

"We don't have much time, do what you have to do ASAP, I'm hanging up" Diana said hastily and ended the call

"You spoke casually to him too" Tina teased Diana

"Why shouldn't I? He started it first" Diana snapped at her

Felony restaurant

Nicholas Aston glanced at his wristwatch and turned to Dan

"Grandpa and the rest should be here already, have you called them?" He inquired

"Yes sir, I put a call through to them before we left home" Dan replied

"And shouldn't Mr Maxwell and his family be here also?" Aston thought aloud angrily "call grandpa again" he said

"Okay sir" Dan said and dialed granpa Nicholas's line severally but there was no response "he's not picking up" Dan said

"Then call him again or call aunt!" Aston said furiously

"Oh, okay sir" Dan fidgeted and dialed aunt Natasha's number but she wasn't picking either "Mr Aston, do you think like...maybe something happened...."

"Go and get the car ready immediately!" Aston said and stormed out of the restaurant

He continued dailing everyone's phone number but it's either not reachable or line busy so he was extremely worried something bad might have happened

"Mr Maxwell is calling" Dan said

"Pick up they might know something" Aston said

"Hello Mr Maxwell"--

"Hello there Mr Daniel, we are already at the venue but no one is here" Mr Maxwell said over the phone

Dan covered his phone's speaker and turned to Aston

"They just got to Felony restaurant" he whispered and Aston hissed angrily

"They are just arriving? What a joke! Tell them I'd let them know if the alimony is happening or not, an emergency came up" Aston said and Dan relayed the message as sent

"Do you think they already got here and left because we're late?" Mary asked

"Well, it's traffic's fault, isn't it? But then, if they really came and left already, that's so rude of them, were not some pushover " Arry said arrogantly

"Says someone who spent two hours dressing up" Mr Maxwell glared at her angrily

"But what does he mean by he'd let us know if the wedding Is happening or not? He could have simply said the introduction date is postponed. Wait, are they calling off the whole thing?" Mary eyes dilated upon realization
