“I’m getting the kid’s sister referred to a speech therapist and maybe a psychologist. She’s been having trouble with pronunciation since her parents died. I think it’s deliberate.”

“So speaks the über psychologist.”

“What? I’m trying to help,” Zach said rather abruptly, then turned his back on Keith.

“And what about the kittens you took from the cook?” Keith cocked an eyebrow. “Was that an act of kindness without strings…just saying.”

“Stop with the ‘just saying’, I know your speculating. I don’t know why, okay. I only want to help them. You should see him trying to care for a wreck of a house on two shit jobs, at least until he comes here and makes some real money.
