Chapter 12 - Prove My Capability

After Jason spoke, Alicia was so pissed off at how he degraded her and doubted her abilities without knowing her. " And before I go sir, l want to tell you something, first I am really surprised at the way you think, it's really myopic you see" Alicia said " and what do you mean by that Miss Alicia? ", Jason replied while squinting his eyes. " Forget that, I want to make something clear to you sir, I am am not a fool not to know what to do and I have experience,  I worked at a Law firm before working here and I would prove my capability by winning this case " Alicia said calmly but anger could be sensed in her voice, then she left the office and closed the door. As she entered her office she started murmuring " how dare that arrogant man say those words to me, I will show him the stuff I'm made off and to think that I actually loosed composure there and my mind was actually filled up with perverted imaginations, remember that you are here to establish yourself Alicia and always stay focused on that",  as she sat on her chair and continued checking out the files so she could prepare for field work. 

Jason was seated in his office, he remembered all she said and smiled devilishly, he knew that wild cat is not an easy type, he had done an investigation on her after the club incident and her life seems interesting.  Jason dropped the files he was holding on the desk and smiled to himself as he thoughtof his little sister, it was a genuine smile that came from the depth of his heart, he really miss his sister and can't wait to meet her at her welcoming dinner party. He heard a knock on the door and he knew who it was," come in Kyle ", Kyle came inside his office and greeted him " Good day boss ", Jason looked at him and said "I hope you are back from your vacation, now you can resume your work as my personal assistant right?" Jason said while smirking, " yes boss" Kyle replied smiling. Jason sighed at the thought of going to that mansion, he honestly hope his grandpa won't make a fuss concerning him getting married because he wasn't ready for any melodrama.  

It was 7:00 in the evening closing hours, Jason left the building with his personal assistant, after coming out of the building, he saw Alicia entering a black car and he wondered who might be in the car with her " According to the intel I got she doesn't have any boyfriend or dated anyone in the past or perhaps its her best friend,  well that is her business not mine " Jason said as Kyle drove him to the Alfredo's ancestral mansion.  When Jason arrived he greeted his grandfather. Lim came to the dinner party too together with Dave looking so handsome,  they sat with Jason and had a little chit chat, actually not much people came it's just Lim and Dave that actually joined them and also Carie's old friend but he hasn't arrived yet and Old Master Alfredo did not disclose the name of Carie's friend because he was asked to by her friend and he gladly obliged.
